I hate how one of the reasons being gay is a sin is because we're not made to "fit." you think the only way humans fit together is sex? you think my face won't fit perfectly in the cradle of my girlfriend's palms? fuck you

I think the thing that annoys me most about AI on a personal, day to day, level is what it has done to grammar checkers. If you've never done a lot of editing, or used to 5+ years ago but haven't really in the last couple years, I can't even begin to describe how fucking BAD this shit has gotten. And as an author it is EXHAUSTING.
I just want to catch spelling errors and accidental double spaces and repeated phrases and whenever I use the wrong too/to or affect/effect and shit. But no. They've shoved AI up the ass of every grammar checking software out there and now they all fucking suck and make the most random, obnoxious, nonsensical suggestions.
And yeah, I can ignore all the times it's trying to get me to cut out any semblance of my own voice, or shove things into the wrong tense, or make the most random suggestions on comma usage. But if it's getting all that WRONG, what is it just straight up missing that I SHOULD be correcting? What real spelling and grammar errors are still lurking in there?
one of the things that's stuck with me the longest from mister magic (kiersten white) is the rose-tinted glasses of childhood. remembering it as being so lovely, so idyllic, and only souring when you got older and started leaving. the characters remember their time on the tv show fondly. and that's how i remember being young and mormon, and that's especially how i hear the people one generation older than me talking about it. it was fun. there were dances and roadshows and events and all these things. and then it decayed. but it was nice while it lasted, wasn't it? there were good things there. it was at least redeemable. or did it just have its claws deeper back then?
if I were a film director I’d make sure to bring back teen movies that loosely adapt classics and I’d start with Northanger Abbey

Deadass as queer people we need to eliminate the notion that you can only watch movies/shows you can personally relate to. “How can you watch Heated Rivalry if you’re a lesbian?” Can I only enjoy flowers if I’m a botanist? Can I only sew buttons on my shirts if I’m a tailor? Can I only cook if I’m a chef?
Watching media that depicts identities other than your own is good for your brain. Gay men should watch But I’m A Cheerleader. Lesbians should watch Moonlight. Cis queers should watch Pose. You have more in common with any queer person than you do with cishets, even if you struggle to see why. I see parts of myself in every queer movie/show I watch, because certain things are universal to the queer experience beyond merely gender or sexuality.
having a dopamine project has actually been so good for reminding me that i love writing and stories and making shit up in my head and then putting it on paper to enjoy, especially after my crazy competitive high school experience and still having crazy expectations for myself

Jinx, but wearing armor - Fanart (By me, RarellanoArt)
Gothic literature must be cursed to forever be misinterpreted by mainstream public because how did this happen
Dracula book: an evil count who only sees the world as a resource to be drained for his own pleasure is stopped by the group of people who deeply care for each other
Dracula in media: a tragic romantic hero, main love interest of one of the protagonists who must be liberated from her dull little life
Frankenstein book: any human has capacity for evil when completely abandoned and shunned by the world and the people who brought him into it
Frankenstein in media: don't play God because it's against nature's laws
Jekyll and Hyde book: repression and only caring about external appearances can cause your worst impulses to indulge themselves in dangerous ways if ignored for too long
Jekyll and Hyde in media: what if there was two of the same guy but one of them was evil and gross?
