Finding out about the RT shutdown is actually a huge blow to my mental health rn, I literally told my friends the other day how RWBY has been the only constant in my life since I was in elementary school, and to lose that when I just lost a family member and am feeling so homesick in my first year of college? It really really sucks. I know it was no where near a perfect show, but I liked that it was flawed, and that it grew up with me. I made a good portion of my friends through this show. RWBY said its first swear word the same year I did. Bumblebee became cannon the year I figured out I was bi. This show has followed me through every landmark and I can’t imagine life without the possibility of it coming back.

I hope the cast and crew find new and better jobs, and I hope that the good people who were part of this fandom remember it fondly.

And finally, a memory, because I would like to share a good one to remember how much this show has meant to me.

The fact that it’s Jaune and Ruby fighting over the emotional breakdown rights is just so perfect. Because way back in volume 1 with all the drama over the big Jaune arc right at the beginning, of course it would be him. Ruby is mirroring what many of the fans thought. Jaune gets to have another breakdown while she’s pushed to the side yet again, like she’s been since the literal first week of beacon.
