Call me the vampire Armand the way I've been enduring intense conversation with myself lately

I think fandom experience went downhill when people stopped judging a piece of media based on its actual merit and started dissecting everyrhing that the actors, showrunners, writers and producers had to say, starting exposatory twitter threads, picking and choosing the interpretations that fits best to justify whatever character they hate or a ship they support and applying real life morality to things that were never meant to be judged that way. The interviews and the podcasts and the actors commentary are supposed to be surplus material for the people who are interested in the filmmaking process. Not a mandatory viewing for "actually" understanding the characters. If your show needs a whole other show where you explain what happened, maybe you didn't do a very good job in telling your story in the first place
