Kondoās method is significantly better for people with what youāre calling āhoarding disorderā (which is actually a generalized control disorder with object attachment) because it doesnāt āforce users out of the comfort zoneā- it allows them to be in control of the process.Ā This idea that we HAVE to force people with object attachment out of the attachment has been debunked over and over- itās actually better to let them retain a degree of control, for the same exact reason parents shouldnāt take away a childās comfort object ābecause they got too old for itā.
