♱ tight-knit . . . hogwarts is one of the smallest wizarding schools in the world. it has around seven hundred (or a tad less) students. this allows for such a tight-knit, close community. professors can form long-lasting mentorships with you that go beyond your school years, and you can often begin to see some as parental figures for the rest of your life. other students, as well, become like family. makes for even better school events, too !

♱ house-mates . . . continuing from the tight-knit aspect, your house-mates become your closest confidantes and often like your siblings. you will meet, often in your own house, people who you rely on for the rest of your life. especially for muggle-borns or half-bloods, you find people extremely similar to you who understand and can relate to you in ways others can't. arguments and rivalries within houses, too, can often (not always) be solved quickly - if you get locked out of your common room, you'll need their help and it'll make the tension pass

♱ the seasons . . . every season feels exactly like what that season should feel like. falls means the crunch of leaves underneath your feet with every step, the scent of pumpkin spice fills the dining hall everytime you enter, and pumpkins populate every corner. winter means that snow gorgeously surrounds and covers the castle, snowflakes often fall by the windows at perfect times, and it feels ever-so-cozy at night. spring means having the feeling of the gentle sun against your skin as you sit in the courtyard, flowers in bloom everywhere, and the sound of birds chirping. i could go on and on, but it's like hogwarts amplifies every season to be the greatest version of itself

♱ the castle itself . . . the castle is so large, so spacious, confusing, and full. you could spend weeks exploring the castle without even attending classes, and still continue to stumble upon new nooks and crannies that you've never even seen before. the amount of hidden rooms is insane, let me tell you. james and i once stumbled upon a hidden room that held incredibly scary creatures floating in glass containers. we stopped exploring for a while after that

♱ third spaces . . . even further than the castle, one may go to hogsmeade and spend as much time as they would like with their friends among the rows of shops. you could spend your saturday at the three broomsticks studying or taste-testing all of the treats from every treat shop in your vicinity. the world is truly your oyster !
