Dating website idea: fumblr, a website where the premise is you are openly honest about the stupid bullshit that would be deal breakers for most people
So I know that a lot of sources including google are claiming or are under the impression that Ringo Starr doesn't have the elf stones so I just wanted to clear things up reliably once and for all:
Yes, he did post about to gifting them to Barry Keoghan, the actor portraying him in the upcoming films, as a good luck charm for his role. However, the photo he posted was of him handing Keoghan a small leather sack, while elf stones famously erode all kinds of skin. Additionally, Ringo is on the record (I think? I swear I read this but I can't find the interview. Please reach out if you know what I'm talking about) that he keeps the stones away from cameras to prevent power-dampening effects.
It's likely that what he gave was a pouch of prop elf stones as a show of good faith, which could also be related to the old legend that a false elf stone will become real in a moment of need. Some people when presented with this evidence claim that while the photo was staged, the real stones were handed over in private, but this seems far fetched to me, especially since it's widely accepted that Ringo bound himself to the stones for nine and ninety years when he acquired them.
With all that said: Please stop spreading misinformation about the elf stones. If you don't have all the info, don't state your own assumptions as fact. And please do not listen to google's AI on important topics like these. All signs point to Ringo Starr currently being in possession of the elf stones.
Please reblog to spread awareness.
Tried a game of Blood on the Clocktower at a party and man. I should just trust that I don't like any Werewolf games. They're all bad, they're slow and annoying in the first few rounds and you usually have like two questions to ask during the daytime. if any of the evil characters make even one mistake it's patently obvious. I found out at the end that I one-shotted the Imp on the second round because he told an obvious lie about which outsider he was and the evil team only got saved because it was a huge 12 player game and the Scarlet Lady triggered.
I guess a team of actually committed werewolf players could run a good game but I've never met any.
Have you tried fan favorites Battlestar Galactica and/or Secret Hitler?
Battlestar Galactica is the only social deduction game worth playing. please don’t mention it in the same sentence as a shitty Mafia reskin whose only claim to fame is the edgy/woke branding.
How about Dead of Winter?
just to clarify. while i am in some sense "heterosexual" this does not mean i dont want to have people or dog sex with women. the words and the power are way important than the bodies
and women can be so beautiful. look. maybe im bisexual. im bisexual enough. look my mind is addled by the heat.

I remember reading some Bwa groups (or maybe it was one of their neighbors) has a stigma associating blacksmithing/metalworking with witchcraft. Apparently there is a similar stigma in Ethiopia. Is this a widespread association? Where is it from?
One argument, can't speak for how well it compares to other possibilities:
In the minds of most Mande, and certainly in the minds of the blacksmiths, endogamy (with its corollary, inherited membership) is a primary characteristic of the nyamakala [specialized professionals] group. While anyone can leave one of these special professions to become a carpenter, a modern mechanic, a government employee or anything else one likes, only children born to families that belong to these professional clans can take up the trades their parents practice. It is first of all a matter of corporate identity and of monopoly. A tremendous body of technical expertise is associated with each trade, and it must be learned over many years of apprenticeship that traditionally begin before the novice turns ten. That makes it inconvenient for outsiders who might want to enter these professions. Then there is the matter of special attributes. Nearly everyone believes that members of these special clans possess a mysterious spiritual power that underpins occult practices and makes the people possessing it potentially dangerous. These powers go well beyond the practice of the clan's special trade, but they are also considered essential to anyone who takes it up. Often members of these clans go to great lengths to nourish a belief in their power among the rest of the population. Indeed, they generally believe in it themselves. Furthermore, they say they are born with much of this power. It is part of their heritage and one of the things that makes them so different from everyone else. That too creates a profound handicap for any outsider who might want to earn a clan's special trade (McNaughton, 3).
There's bits of it in northern Europe. My unsupported take on it is that
1. Metalwork, particularly smelting from ore, is less obvious / more transformative than any other craft process people would be familiar with - woodworking or masonry are "just" shaping materials, pottery just goes from mud to mud (hard), and people will have seen spinning and weaving on a daily basis. Going from rock to metal is magic.
2. Smelting metal from ore is also a very traditional way to go mad from exposure to lead, mercury, etc.
dwarf fortress is a far more interesting and engaging game than dwarf fortress is, which is a shame because dwarf fortress is so much more accessible and sustainable than dwarf fortress in pretty much every way. but it just doesn't have the same juice that dwarf fortress has
A new government program promises to remove the hands of all children.
"Hands could allow them to willingly self-generate abuse material," said the Prime Minister, "and we take child safety very seriously."
The program plans to also remove the hands of adults who appear to be children and adults selected as being at-risk for engaging in child abuse.
"That's the ingenuity of the program," said the Technology Secretary, "with the centralized infrastructure in place for hand removal, we can also prevent future predators from ever offending."
now i can finally play as a vampire: the masquerade character in a tabletop roleplaying game
I've mostly been playing mine in beach volleyball and not gonna lie it hasn't gone very well
likely because volleyballs are notoriously terrible LARP partners
One day I will break that shell of romantic brooding silence that surrounds their tormented, tragic souls.
Wait, listening to the same song on repeat is stimming?
I do not mean a normal amount of listening to the same song on repeat I mean that in October and November 2022 the only thing I listened to was Type O Negative's "Black No. 1" and I listened to it for 18 hours a day. This is, apparently, a kind of stimming.
*quietly hides the four playlists that I have that are just copies of one song from different recordings or releases*
To be clear I do not know what the normal amount is. When Large Bastard and I started dating I had a tape in my car with Tom Petty's "Dancing at the Zombie Zoo" on it that I knew exactly when to flip the other side (halfway through "Yer so Bad") so that I could flip it again and listen to Zombie Zoo again and I did that enough that Large Bastard still can't listen to Tom Petty and also it wore through the tape. So whatever normal is it is probably less than that.
Nope. And one of the things that made my doctors wave off the possibility of a diagnosis was "well, you don't stim or have trouble socializing or have sensory issues so you're probably just depressed and anxious."
No I just, you know, reexamined every interaction for hours after the fact and was convinced that I was evil or deeply broken for being unable to emotionally connect with people around me and had headphones hidden under my hair all the time to listen to songs on repeat so that I could pay attention to things and not get distracted by the way the classroom lights were flickering at exactly the wrong frequency.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN MOST KIDS DON'T HAVE TO BE TRAINED OUT OF WALKING ON TIP TOES
When not wearing shoes, will you be wearing socks? "Always" and "never" are both very diagnostic here.

The Three Kinds of Extremely Difficult Video Game
Wacky Wendy's Pastel-Colored Puzzle Fun-Venture!
You have been killed by the Conspicuously Phallic Monster. Your character's life sucks and the best ending is a bummer.
Bald Man vs. The Awkward Controls starring No Save Points
I would put forth (and fourth) "There are too many things happening and I missed something important in a submenu" (simulator-ey games, roguelikes in the original sense), and;
"The game designer is messing with you and/or insane" (various entries in the point and click or text adventure genres)
Do other countries not tailgate? I mean I know pickup trucks aren't a thing everywhere, but they're not a necessity, even if you'd think you need a tailgate to actually tailgate. Ya don't. Just brews and brats and buds.
Off the back of a quick search: The Foxborough stadium there and the largest stadium in Scotland, Celtic Park, have about the same seating capacity, about 65,000.
The Foxborough stadium normally has 20,000 parking spaces.
Celtic Park has 800, with another 600 nearby.
You might not need tailgates, but you do need to be parking there.
I live a few minutes walk from a similar stadium in the UK with _no_ dedicated parking for fans.

Something deeply dodgy going on here -
At the height of "BBC anti-Israel bias" noise last autumn, a strongly anti-BBC article goes out, and is widely read, under the name of one of the most important figures in UK media regulation.
Six months later, in a broader interview, they seem to defend it.
Before publication, the interviewer is told that not only do they _not_ defend it, but it also did not come from them or their team.
The argument they seem to have to make here sounds like "An unknown actor sent a very strongly worded and widely reported article under my name, and my team and I didn't notice at the time, and I didn't remember during the interview either".
The more conspiratorial option being "I let an Israeli pressure group publish a hit piece under my name without thoroughly checking it or laundering it through my own team, defended it in the interview, then before publication realised parts of it were beyond what I could defend and investigation would show it hadn't come from me"
Excoriating article under Caroline Dinenage’s name remains on ConservativeHome website
