Knocker was always watching, always there even when you thought he wasn't. The first time he saw you self-harming, the first time he caught you self-harming, he didn't stop you. Instead, he only watched and wondered why you allowed yourself to suffer alone when he was there, always there.
He wanted to desperately reveal himself from the shadows but chose not to. He didn't want to scare you off. One day when you both were out in the desert searching for a temple. You had decided to dress differently, in long sleeves and jeans, unfit for the desert's harsh sun.
Knocker glances at your arms then forwards, trying to not put too much attention on the little secret he knows about. The healing scars felt itchy. You did your best to refrain from scratching, but the sweat made the open ones burn. It was an unpleasant feeling being sweaty, sand in your shoes, and the sun beaming right on your face.
“You should've dressed properly,” he says, tucking his hands in his hoodie. You scoff and point at his outfit. “Yeah, you're one to talk. Look at you!”
“I'm cold-blooded. I can handle it, sweetie,” he smirks. You roll your eyes and continue treading through the heavy sand. After a while, you began to lose your balance, swaying from side to side as you tried to fight your body. Knocker watches you struggle. He enjoyed watching you struggle when it was his doing, but this? This was different, and he didn't enjoy the feelings it stirred within him.
“K—Knocker,” your face pales and your eyes roll back, “Shit!” Knocker quickly catches you and carries you to the nearest shelter he could find.
“Ugh, my head,” you mutter as you slowly sit up, “You had a heat stroke.” You jump. Knocker stood in the shadows in the corner of what you realized was a desert temple.
“You took us to a temple?” you ask, not upset but happy he was able to find what you were looking for. He hums and nods. “It was the closest and the coolest.” You felt colder than usual. Looking down, you realized your shirt was gone and your scars were now on display.
“No, no knocker, I—”
“Shh, come here.” He sits next to you on the cold floor and opens his arms. You lean into him and hug him tightly. You blink once, twice, until hot tears stream down your face. Knocker rocks you side to side. You remain there for a while, feeling the coolness radiating off of his skin. His cold lips find their way to your neck, his favorite spot, then to your cheek, soon finding your tears. He kisses them away before finding your lips.
“Look.” The knocker pulls away, then raises his hoodie, revealing his scars on his torso. “I got these through fighting monsters and these,” he pulls down his hoodie and rolls up his sleeves. “These I got from humans.” He shows off the scars and burns he received from that fateful day he was sacrificed.
“All scars tell a battle, and some fight silent ones. That doesn't mean it was a battle lost, but rather one still worth fighting.” He runs a cold finger gently down your fresh red scars. They weren't as angry as they were when he first took off your shirt, but still not healed enough to be subjected to such conditions. Knocker raises your arm and gently places a kiss on the healed ones, mindful of the new ones.
“Talk to me, my love. Don't push me away. I'll always find a way in either way.” He takes your hand and places it on his cheek. You nod. For once you find someone who doesn't see you as broken or damaged or something to be fixed or coddled but rather as someone who needed a push.
This wasn't going to deter him in any way. He knew you better than you knew yourself and already made a checklist in his head of things to watch out for, your urges, triggers, “I can see your thoughts, knocker.” You nudged him playfully. You weren't mad. You were honestly glad he was concerned. It meant he truly did care. Knocker shook his head and pulled you down onto the cold sandstone. Moonlight streams in through the skyline. You sigh, and the knocker pulls you closer like he was scared you'd leave.
Everyday they end up with your shenanigans and have to tolerate it. Not like it's annoying, they both find it adorable how physical you are, sometimes even sharing the same affection as well.
Chance is most likely to give in and smother you with cuddles and kisses when you're like this. Small genuine compliments from him here and there, pinching your cheek if you give him a peck.
He would hug you tighter to try and compete with your affection, stating that he loves you more than you do. Of course, you had to correct him by giving a bite to his collarbone.
He's such a sucker for you, they would immediately get flustered after you pepper his face with kisses, especially when you tease him back; it catches him off guard.
They would even bet that you cannot make him flushed with just a single peck to his cheeks and fail. He does this just to get a little more of you and strengthen your ego when you can prominently see his intentions.
Mafioso has a different reaction to your approach with him, he would let you shower him with affection with a sly smirk, red plastered on his face. After he'd give back kisses to your lips and neck.
When it comes to the biting he always lets you, daring to bite harder, saying that he can handle it. Oh boy when you do he bites his lip to cease the sounds of satisfaction erupting from his throat. The pain doesn't bother him at all, he can take it.
You always kiss and lick at his scars from battles, watching him as he tilted his head while avoiding your gaze with a haze of pink on his face. He appreciates moments like these a lot, the love and care erases his memories of his scar ridden body. He'd enjoy you kissing his calloused hands, ones that do the dirty work of his.
He would dismiss a meeting if you ever needed him, calling you into his office to get to the order of business. Whenever his goons pass by, all they can hear are heavy moans coming from the room.
After a hard day of work, he would topple over you with his arms tightened to your waist as he nuzzles his face to your neck. Only then after a couple of minutes of trying to get him off, they dozed off from exhaustion. Have fun trying to escape now.

Cuddles are a must. He doesn't care if your blood gets on his clothes, he can just wash them afterwards. Never let you go during this time. If you requested, he'd lay down on your lower stomach and give a massage while honking softly. (Cuz yk, he's a rabbit hybrid.)
You always get the special treatment at all costs. Food, cuddles, bathes, massages, peace, rest, you name it. Just ask and he's already hopping off to get it for you.
buys any brand (that is healthy and your size) for you. There would be a basket full of brand new pads for you in the room if you need them.
He LITERALLY schedules the time you got or ended your period. He just wants to be a few steps ahead so he can give in to your time of need.
If you'd like to watch movies, sure, he's on the bed immediately to snuggle up with you while enjoying the movie.
If ever, rarely, (and I mean rarely) you go outside he's doubling security on you. His goons are watching your every move and have your necessities in hand in case you ever need it.

As you both have time to each other he’d litter bunch of kisses covering your face, hugging you tightly with you pinned against a wall
If the round has already ended, Mafioso tends to be frustrated at times like that but would still care enough to congratulate you
His nicknames for you: doll, sweetheart, angel, darling, doll face, honey, love, and pet names in Italian
Certain times he would rather be intimate with you during rounds even with the rest of the survivors alive, kissing at your lips passionately as his hands find their way to your neck or jaw
If you get caught by any of the survivors, it would make you both jump. Mafioso would only sigh as he'd chase after them, leaving you a kiss to the forehead
This man will spoil you every moment of your life. In rounds he would tell his men to not bother you, little does he know that his men understand and acknowledge you both.
The Mafialings would immediately tease their boss about their relationship with you, only to receive a scolding from him. They would plan to ditch when you and them go to hang out together so you two can have a proper date. Not like Mafioso doesn't appreciate it, he takes the time to get to know you better.
After the rigged game when Chance won he would complain how he shouldn't have won the prize and how much he wants him dead. Just shut him up with kisses and he would eventually stop.
When making out with him he's rough and gentle at the same time, savoring each moment with you, and wrapping you tight against him so don't try to escape or he'll hold on longer.
You'd be the one to initiate physical affection, he'll slowly get used to it and attempt to try when you both are alone, cuddling.
Most dates would be private unless you want it not to be. He believes private dates are more sensual and romantic with you. In public you both will have prying eyes, mostly on him but he doesn't care.
His usual menacing stature would immediately crumble at your presence alone, feeling your energy in a crowded room. His attention laid only on you in any circumstances.
Incredibly clingy after a long day of work, mumbling complaints against the back of your head as his arms wrap your waist and his chin to your head.
Well, clingy in general whenever you're around and have the time.

His hands are never off of your body. On your hands, waist, shoulder, thigh, whatever he can get his hands to.
Since I see him as a bunny hybrid he gets upset immediately if not receiving cuddles or pets, just like rabbits do he'll grunt at you angrily. This is a show of dominance because dominant rabbits are the ones who receive and demand grooming.

It's been a long time coming, but I'm finally getting around to doing my own set of tribe headcanons! This series will focus on different choices/variants I've come up with for each tribe - and what better way to start off than with Nightwings?
Nightwings are one tribe I love to design for, and one of the few that I haven't changed much at all. What can I say? I think they're pretty much perfect as they are. I played around a little with a bat variant, but ultimately decided against it... I feel like they already have so much going for them! If someone else wants to entertain the bat idea, they can.

I wanted to really play up the presence of their powers within the tribe design, as these abilities are so relevant to their livelihood and tribe success. The difference between ancient Nightwings and volcano Nightwings is no joke! I like to think that many cultures and customs were related to their powers, and subsequently lost over time once they moved to the volcano.
Additionally, I love to ponder how life might have been for a powerless Nightwing in the ancient times. We see how integrated powers are into everything - even education and communication. What use did Nightwing society have for the powerless? Is it seen as an act of poor planning/shame on the parent's part? I imagine these individuals usually left the kingdom, wandering from place to place and keeping company with other dragons like them. Maybe they faked their powers, hiding from the 'true' Nightwings who could easily sniff them out.

It was midday and a weekend. So you had nothing better to do than hang out in your house with your boyfriend. Nico was laying next to you but he left to make himself some food.
So you were sitting against the headboard of your bed waiting for Nico to come back and reading your book. It was peaceful. There was a half drunk and long forgotten cup of tea on the bedside table.
There was a candle lit, making the room smell like cookies. The window was closed, causing the room to be dark but just lit enough to be able to see.
You loved moments like this.
But this moment was entirely ruptured by a scream. You knew it was Nico’s so you quickly got up and ran to find him. Your book was left open on the floor. You found Nico in the kitchen, staring at the toaster.
There was a piece of toast in it and Nico was looking at it with shock. Nico looked a little scared. You could see that he was glaring at the toaster. His hand hovered over where he kept his sword even though it wasn’t there.
Once you realized that Nico wasn’t dead and everything seemed fine you walked closer to Nico and asked him what happened. “That”, Nico pointed to the toaster, “scared me”. You tried not to laugh. You knew that a lot of people got scared at toasters.
The sudden pop of the toast made them jump. It wasn’t that weird for Nico to be scared either. Nico got scared of a lot of things that were normal to you. He wasn’t used to a lot of modern things.
Spending decades in a casino can do that to someone.
Hell, Nico got scared at the beeping of the microwave once. But you still found this funny. Nico was one of the strongest and bravest people you knew, yet he was scared of a toaster. You were definitely going to tell Percy about this.
You tried to stop yourself from laughing by clasping a hand in front of your mouth but a little giggle got out. Nico moved his gaze from the toaster to you, now glaring at you. “Why are you laughing?”
Nico asked and that made you laugh. You stopped it as soon as you could, you didn’t feel like sleeping on the couch tonight. But Nico still looked angry. Whether he was angry and the toaster or you.
That was a mystery.
“I’m sorry but you are one of the bravest people I know and you got scared by a toaster”, you took in a breath after speaking. Nico looked away from you when a red tint took over his face.
“I was walking by and then it popped, I didn’t expect it so it scared me”, Nico explained. “If it makes you feel better lots of people get scared by toasters”, you placed a kiss on Nico’s forehead.
“Now how about I finish making the snack”, Nico nodded and walked away mumbling something. You could only hear that word toaster and a couple Greek curse words.
When Nico was out of ear shot you let out another laugh.
