“Come on, rich girl,” Halley said, carrying two full martini glasses. “Ever heard of having some fun?” She downed the first drink easily before offering the other to Melissa.

Halley lingered in the door way, bag hanging from her shoulder. “It’s about the short story assignment,” she said confidently. “You never explained the content limits.” She sat down on the top of the desk in the front row and crossed her legs. “Say, murder, would that be okay? What about blackmail?”
