got another meeting with my supervisor soon. thankfully I was afraid of nothing and she is amazing and extremely helpful. very appreciative of this chance to start my phd with a lot of guidance.
🌟🌟❄️❄️ took the time during the holidays to just chill and paint a bunch with all the new art supplies I got...
...and maybe dig around a little in my pilot corpus study but that has been a dumpster fire so I'm just pretending that it doesn't exist for now. I'm just writing a skeleton for my first (possibly single authored) paper 🥂

I had an amazing weekend, making the christmas tree and going to christmas markets.
Today I had to work for my internship in the afternoon instead of in the morning which always devastates me.
But I am happy because I went eating sushi with my friends at lunch.
After dinner I am going to work a couple hours on the presentation I'll have to hold for my "methods for life course approach research" class (one thing my university is not great at is managing the lenght of the classes' names).
I have a couple deadlines this week, and I am stressed out at the idea of managing them together with the internship. But next weekend I am going on a trip with my boyfriend so all is good.

spent a lot of this semester feeling so overwhelmed and over the place (average 1st year phd student experience) and now it's wonderfully cold outside, im all warm in the library, i have a chai latte and im feeling excited working on my final papers. it all turns out ok 🌟
