Today I was feeling nostalgic and was looking for an old pic of myself to compare to how I am now.

But I found the selfie I took right after applying to the uni I am now finishing (3 years and a couple months ago) and I was dressed like I am today.

Lately I am really stressed, and I struggle to relax too.

I have less then 10 days to finish preparing an exam and writing two papers, and in the meantime I also have to plan a lot of graduation parties for my friends (in Italy there are some rituals/games traditional of graduation parties that are usually planned by the friends invited).

It's a bit late, since my classes already ended, but I've been doing this every semester and I want to close the circle.

social entrepeneurship

This is one of the mandatory classes for my specific sector (social innovation and social design). We studied the different ways corporations/industries can be organized (profit, non profit etc.) and how they impact differently the communities and environment surrounding them. I wrote a paper comparing 2 corporations with fundamentally different structures operating in the same sector. Then had an oral exam to check on my theorical knowledge.

social movements

This is an elective class about social movements and all of the theories that study how they develop, what methods they choose to resist, the relationships they can have with the authorities and such, then we spent half of the course applying all of these theories to the analysis of actual social movements. I did a class presentation, now I have to write a critical analysis on the same topic, afterwards I'll take a written exam. This is also tought by the teacher I picked for my thesis.

textual and visual data analysis

A methodological class on the qualitative analysis of text and images/videos. We did a lot of data sessions, basically one or two for every method we studied, so we got to really apply them. It was so fun. The exam was oral, we had to explain one theory and then show the analysis we did on some interviews.

introduction to advanced research methods

An advanced quantitative methods class. We got theorical knowledge on statistical methods more advanced that linear regression. We also applied them to data analyis on STATA. We did a class presentation in which we analysed critically a research, I am now writing a paper in which I'll plan, realize and describe a data analysis.

Today I took an exam and got severe imposter syndrome afterwards

It also happens to be a very stormy and cold day (after a few weeks of dangerous heat)

Now I have an exam in three days, I took space from last week's drama and the people who caused it, and I am ready to get back into studying.

Today's plan is to start preparing the topics I will be tested on for my political science exam, it's three main topics, I plan to revise and write a summary of two of them today, and the other tomorrow. Gonna update.

Update 1 (5pm): I arrived at the library one hour and a half ago and just finished preparing the first topic on the definition of "politics", the different approached to it (consensual and conflictual) and its different aspects (politcs, policy and polity).

Today I got up so late that I spent most of the day in a different dimension (it happens sometimes).

But I still got to university in the late afternoon to work on my quantitative research and was able to do a lot of work in just 1 hour.

After dinner I watched 27 dresses because I needed a romcom, then I went to an event in a very cool local bar, it was fun and also surprisingly relaxing.
