On a less serious note, I keep picturing Olive Cookie and Adventurer Cookie trying to sneak past Burning Spice in comical ways to get into the Golden Cheese Kingdom (like, moving bush kind of stuff).

Hmm to answer the first part, are we sure it really empty? I can said when the beast first escaped Shadow milk used some of his magic, just so the fairies wouldn’t run after them.

After that, let’s say Dark Enchantress has a fun plan in store.

!!EXTREME SPOILERS FOR JAMBOUND!! IF YOU HAVENT READ IT OR HAVENT CAUGHT UP IN A WHILE, GO DO THAT!!!! THE FINAL CHAPTER JUST DROPPED, AND IT IS FUCKING BEAUTIFUL MAN!!!!!!

Okok, now with that out of the way, I’m just going to get straight to the point:

The bond is a metaphor for sex.

“No shit Sherlock, they made that pretty obvious.” I hear you saying, but more specifically:

The bond is a metaphor for relationships that are made and hinge ENTIRELY ON sex.

I mean, just think about it

To start us off, let’s list off some of the basics on how the bond functions:

- they can’t stray too far from one another

- they cant go too long without “connecting” with one another, and if they don’t there’s physical strain/side effects (I hope I don’t need to explain this one)

- after “connecting” with one another………..to put it frankly, they act like they just fucked. There’s no other way to put it-

and most importantly: -when under the influence of the bond, they both fall madly in love with each other. Especially Pure Vanilla.

Now, time to get down to business:

In chapters 22-26 (I know those are scary to think about, but don’t worry, I’ll hold your hand) Shadow Milk is scared to break the bond in fear that what he and PV have wasn’t real and was all just a part of the “bond” (aka, he’s scared that their relationship will be nothing without their little bedroom tangos) but PV wants to break the bond to make sure that what they have is real. (Aka, he wants to take a break from “bonding” and see if they actually have feelings for one another rather than just what they have in bed) and to my and everyone else’s collective relief, they do!

Now, in the final chapter, chapter 32, (again, GO READ IT IF YOU HAVENT YET AND THEN COME BACK) Shadow Milk finds that he feels a strange feeling in his jam. Not the pulling and longing feeling of the “bond” but something else. When he asks PV about it, PV suggests that they try “connecting” again. When they do, they have a dream about SM trying to find PV in a flock of a bunch of other sheep, and resting together when they finally are reunited. (Aka, Shadow Milk has finally found his soulmate in the crowd of thousands of other cookies on earthbread) and when SM wakes up, it doesn’t feel like the aftermath of a “bond”, it simply feels nice, Like he just took a nice nap or something.

There’s no pull or need in their bond anymore. It’s now simply something they can do for funsies sometimes, and not something their relationship entirely depends on.

So what’s the moral of the story? don’t start a relationship sheerly because you want to have a nice time in bed.

That’s a prolonged hookup, not a relationship.

I'm kinda nervous to post bout this au ngl ;; w ;; But i've been rotating in my head for DAYS after reading the below linked fanfic. I went in such a wildly different direction than what the authors are probably going to go, though with Vanilla but i got the brain worm to make this au.

Also he's called Vanilla Recluse cause he's not truthless. He's more of Earthbread's reluctant, overworked historian. Also, with how things are turning out chatting over this au idea with my bestie him being completely neutral might change rip. I'm waiting on them to design their rendition of Dark Enchantress/White Lily to go into detail on that though.

I’m not sure what it would be called, but basically it’s the idea that the beast escape early on but there kind of beat down after being trapped in the tree, so they were just mainly in hiding.

And the ancients soon after getting their soul jams find these beasts and sort of drag them along for the ride. Of course most fall in love, and help establish kingdoms.

Eventually dark enchantress happens and there’s some problems. The fairies show up along with the crème republic, expressing their fear that these fable beasts have broken free and have join Dark enchantress. Meanwhile the ancients are trying to hide their partners while just sort of nodding along.

So like Mystic Flour (goes by Pure Flour) and Dark Cacao are married and the rulers of the Dark Cacao kingdom (Dark Choco is their son).

Burning Spice (goes by Warming or fire spice) acts as a bodyguard to Golden Cheese cookie. Not one knows the status of their relationship.

Shadow milk (persona of Blueberry milk) acts as Pure Vanilla’s advisor, while secretly being the best spy and sower of deceit. Can’t have cookies fighting for the crown if they always at each others throats.

I imagine Eternal Sugar plays the role of Hollyberry’s long time friend. It’s obviously to everyone that they are dating, but it’s never formally announced.

Silent Salt acts much like a knight or Bodyguard to White Lily, even though she insists she doesn’t need one.
