You know, Iâm a season and a half into watching Danny Phantom and Iâm just starting to realise how sad it is that Danny has a secret identity.Â
Hereâs the thing, all the villains know who he is. They know where he lives, and who is family and friends are. And you know what? I canât remember Danny ever freaking out about that. He just accepted that his enemies had this information and could use it against him.Â
Danny doesnât care that his enemies know who he is, but heâs terrified of the idea of the people he loves knowing. His greatest fear isnât his enemies coming after him in his own home, itâs just the idea that these people - these people that heâs willing to put his life at risk to protect on a daily basis - wouldnât be able to love him anymore if they knew what he was. I think that may be the saddest superhero story Iâve ever heard.Â

Bitter Reunions (1.07)
Vlad! The first appearance of an iconic villain. I bet if DP was released today people would be all over him. I never heard his English dub, the lower register (when he's human or speaking like a normal person in Plasmius mode) is really nice but the high pitch (plasmius mode)was... Something, in my opnion it made him less threatening and a lot more silly. His design is silly, why is his chest like that, why does he look like a vampire?? Love the black rings during the transformation, very stylish.
Fanfics have committed a great mistake by erasing the existence of Danny's Electric Scooter, no more Skater Danny headcanons, he's a electric scooter kind of boy.

this is from a couple of things, in fandoms im actively in and from what i see on the dash, but like people should probably confront why they find white media and white characters more palatable than stuff with poc. and even then, when a media IS led by a character of color, why is that character never in focus for fandom? i understand that studios, scriptwriters, authors etc often do present a bias and develop their white characters more, but some of you HAVE and WILL develop white background character #34 who has 3 lines infinitely more than a main character of color

can't believe that the entire premise of this children's cartoon show is "a 14-year-old boy died in a machinery accident, except he didn't fully die so now he can turn into a ghost and he uses his ghost powers to be a superhero. He cannot reveal his identity to anyone, because his parents are ghost hunters and he's afraid that if they found out then they'd experiment on him. The only people who know his secret are his two closest friends. All of this information is conveyed as a funky rap at the start of every episode." like how fucked up is that?!?

Week 6
What You Want (1.06)
I'm going to have to hand it to the Danny Phantom writing team, they're not afraid to give their characters flaws. Being jealous is natural but you shouldn't let it control you.
Once again, trans Danny is canon, there's no reason for him to be this upset about Desiree touching his chest.
Got a big fat crush on Desiree, chaotic queen of my heart.
I really like Danny and Tucker's friendship, the phandom often forgets that they're super close. Most fics brush their bond to the side and I feel like that ignores a huge part of their characters and how they interact.
Got really uncomfy with the Native American imagery used for absolutely nothing. Why did the Ghosto Separeto or whatever it was called have to be a dream catcher?
I gotta admit Sayonara Pussycat is a pretty good joke, I chuckled a little.
Greatest part of the episode is noticing that Danny developed morals, you go boy, go learn right from wrong.
