if they were agreeing with you you wouldn’t tell them to stay out of it. doctors are singlets and you let them decide what is and isn’t allowed. but when singlets believe their endo friends suddenly you think they should stay out of it

Not to mention, the people and therapists who went to school for this stuff still don’t know everything. It’s well known in the community that every system is different. 

Oh, and the DSM-V doesn’t even list trauma as a requirement for receiving a diagnosis for DID.

And even if you do believe that you need trauma to be a system, many, many systems won’t remember their trauma, many systems won’t have accepted their trauma, and many system don’t believe their trauma was “bad enough”. Any of these reasons could lead to someone calling themselves endo. So even if we pretend for one second that I agree trauma is the only cause of a system (which I don’t), calling yourself endophobic is still directly harming “real systems.” You’re feeding into the shame and self-doubt that we all know comes hand in hand with DID and OSDD and will lead to people trying to suppress their systems or not get help from professionals when they need it because of their self-doubt which your entire blog encourages.

I don’t normally discourse on this blog because most of the discussion on this issue is counterproductive to both sides and both sides demonize each other, but anyone who is calling another system fake or saying that a system is harming the community because of the word they use to label themselves is probably doing more harm to the community.
