Still working on doing, like, a zillion years of research on the Sword Route and Shadow Mantle. I think I've figured out a lot of what it's about, but I'm still pretty far from being able to make a post about it.
However, I have solved one minor mystery: why the laugh in the boss fight sounds so unique and strange.
For reference, here's the laugh:
Sounds pretty weird and unusual, doesn't it? In fact, there's only one other laugh quite like it in the game: Lancer's.
It is, in fact, the exact same sound - just played at a faster speed for the Mantle.
So that's a mystery that nobody really thought was a mystery, and didn't really need solving... but damn if I didn't just solve it.
do you have any definitive proof that the laughs are the same, or did you just hear that they're sorta similar and assume that was case closed? If it's the latter, maybe consider making a comparison video to prove it and see if you're actually right
Fun fact: If you're that curious about the details, you can actually do your own research and find the answers for yourself instead of making accusations and expecting total strangers to do work for you.
I'm all for being skeptical, but this was just rude.
Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude, just want to be sure this is proven before potentially incorrect claims start getting spread around!
I mean, that's fair. Unfortunately, I'm very disabled and providing proof is out of the question for the foreseeable future, so all I can say is please do take it with a grain of salt.
alright, that's understandable! I'm on a trip currently so I'm also currently unavailable to test this claim. To anyone else that might end up seeing this post, if you can, please test this out by seeing if speeding up Lancer's laugh results in the same sound as that of the Sword Route boss! (Some bitcrushing may have also been involved so you could maybe account for that as well)
