when i was at walgreens (at 3 in the morning which explains all of this) the cashier was talking to her coworker about how shed rather be a werewolf than a vampire because vampires are condemned to hell but werewolves arent and then she asked me what i thought and i said vampire because im already condemned to hell and she said in the nicest tone of voice “i dont think anybody is condemned to hell….” paused, stared at me for a few moments, and added on “…not even gay people”

a funny thing about having a Problematic Blorbo is that you'll periodically come across a post along the lines of "um let's not forget that [Blorbo] is a bad person..." listing their various crimes, and if you have a modicum of intellectual honesty you find yourself nodding along and saying yeah it's true... but it's the greyness of their character that makes them so compelling... As a language enthusiast, I so much appreciate the gradual development of Grace-Rocky connection. They begin with simple words, that I can imagine how to show to an alien, then they develop phrases, long sentences and what’s so cool: science terms comes before emotions, because if you think about it, of course Petrova line is easier to understand for an alien than a hug. And in the end, on the Erid when Grace and Rocky speak without a laptop - I nearly cried because of course they speak without it, they made an effort for each other!
