“Floating Sparks” Glass Snuff Bottle, 1720-1850, a flattened globular form with sloping shoulders, short stout neck with a wide aperture and countersunk base, crafted of mottled glass having opaque crimson splashes outlined in a darker maroon upon a swirled opaque yellow-ochre flame colored ground. Antique Sawakhalok Celadon Bowl, Thailand, 14th/15th century, a sturdily potted wheel thrown stoneware bowl with everted rim and chamfered lip. The cavetto has vertical combed lines enclosed above and below by several incised circular bands. The center medallion is composed of incised circles. The outside wall has some incised bands but is mostly smooth and undecorated. All covered in a thin transparent moss green celadon glaze with a small crackle.

Antique Sawakhalok Celadon Bowl, Thailand 14th/15th century. A sturdily potted wheel thrown stoneware bowl with everted rim and chamfered lip. The cavetto has a three line combed decorative lattice pattern enclosed above and below by several incised circular bands. The center medallion is composed of incised circles. The outside wall is smooth and undecorated. All covered in a transparent moss green celadon glaze with a medium crackle.

Antique Sawakhalok Celadon Bowl, Thailand 14th/15th century, a sturdily potted wheel thrown stoneware bowl with everted rim and flattened lip. The deep cavetto has an upper decorative band of combed broken comma pattern enclosed above and below by two incised circular bands.The center medallion is composed of an incised spiral. The outside wall is smooth and undecorated. All covered in a good transparent sea foam green celadon glaze having a medium crackle.

Vintage Thai Bencharong Porcelain Bowl, 20th century. Bencharong enamel decoration with Buddhist imagery on a black background. This classic porcelain bowl form having a raised narrow foot rim and slightly everted mouth rim is richly decorated in bright polychrome enamels in the style favored by the nobility in eighteenth century Siam. This colorful style became known as “bencharong”, a term that derives from two Sanskrit words – panch (‘five’) and rong (‘colour’) and which relates to the number of colors used to decorate such porcelain. This bowl is decorated with typical Thai motifs. 

Pair of Vintage Thai Bencharong Lidded Jars, 20th century. Bencharong enamel decoration with Buddhist imagery on a black background. This porcelain jar and lid form having a raised foot rim and lotus bud on a disk lid finial is richly decorated in bright polychrome enamels in the style of the royal household ceramics favored by the nobility in eighteenth century Siam.
