“Border fragment of wool with a continuous band of #hummingbirds and fringelike appendages representing beans. Early Nasca [Nazca, Peru, c.1-450 CE]. Pollination of bean plants by birds may be suggested here. Border was formed using a needle-knit stemstitch.”

My African Wizard Robes are finished :) (with the amazing help of my partner @13mo who assisted with the ribbon trim <3) Its made out of hand dyed indigo panels, the front middle six being patterned by a batik wax resist process. The decor is made out of clay, shells, seed beads and abalone buttons all hand sewn on! I can't wait to get started on the staff and maybe... a hat
