Why haven’t you read these yet? | The Queen’s Thief Series, Megan Whelan Turner

I’m not v. good at book reviews but these books have basically taken over my life since I read them so! They’re a combination of fantasy and historical fiction with a whole lot of political intrigue and twists and turns that are equally as enjoyable on reread, and MWT weaves it all together with engaging narrative and textured, beautifully flawed characters. No really the main characters are all glaringly human and they are terrible and lovable all the same, and their interactions with each other are so laden with nuance that you can reread the books ten times and reach another level of understanding with each reread. And the prose! Help everything she writes is gorgeous without falling into the overly-wordy or -flowery trap, and there’s a simplicity there that makes it as easy and enjoyable as a well-written fic and equally as satisfying in plottiness and characterization and development.

2007 - 20-47% of adolescent girls play video games

2013 -"adult women are nearly half of all video game players"

I didn’t get all the dates, but I think you can get the point.
