WAIT this is so interesting......that Wasn't the plan, but now I'm like........that could be so fun, could i make that work within my current set-up?????

like i Know that after her kids were grown she Chose to bounce around to different positions for years, she didn't want to be tied down at all, and resisted becoming a CMO even when Starfleet wanted her to, and even on the Avery she's not officially a CMO (tho for all purposes she is, but she didn't want the title and they're small enough they could skip it), and the only reason she took this job was because Hayes (an old friend of her and her late husband's back when they were all in their twenties) asked her to as a personal favor....

....like maybe it WAS her, tho the downside is I'd have to actually pin down when mccoy's dad died, because I used that as the reference for the paper in the first fic......what if she took her late husband's last name specifically because her last name was trashed from the fallout of the paper, so there's some distance there between her and mccoy working together and mccoy finding out.....

.....and that's one of the reasons she's been running from being in charge of people for all these years, of not wanting the responsibility of being in charge....and she was RIGHT!!! she was right all along!!!
