regis took a bit of thought . i put them up top not necessarily in the "sees humans as lesser" way but more in the "this is an incomprehensible thing that doesnt gaf about us" way. such freaks !

blaziken very easily couldve gone in monster tier but i decided its a guy bc it looks like its wearing clothes and it has knees.

latias and latios are monsters instead of above bc theyre pretty chill with humans tbh. shoutout to latias for being able to turn into a girl or something also ?? idk anything about the anime but the human look is very cute

id probably put zangoose and seviper in creatures tier actually i just already exported this ... i think they were in monster bc zangoose is kinda just a furry, and i consider seviper as equal to it with the rivalry thing being such a defining part of the duo. theyre on equal levels enough to butt heads and it requires intelligence to be that goddamn petty

hoenn sure has a lot of tiny guy creatures. banette was very close to going into monster tier it just landed creature for vibes. absol meanwhile is pretty literally a Big Dogy but im too biased in that i was one of those edgelord kids that got super attached to it and i will debate anyone that not only is it a highly intelligent creature but a very kind one too LISTEN . it senses oncoming disaster and will come out of ISOLATION to actively seek out the species that drove them INTO isolation to warn them of it !! that takes intelligence to care thatre at odds to its own benefit, as not only did humans drive them out but lingering where it senses disaster would actively put itself in danger. its a sensitive pokemon that actively choses to exercise compassion it cares so much its a protector it literally actively hates fighting. this isnt even about defending its fuckability im just spreading absol propaganda rn. thats my special guy you will respect them. wait what we were talking abou

hoenns big dogy tier definitely leans pretty hard on the dogy side of things. i put the ones where i could see arguments in favor of them being more intelligent, but personally i wouldnt be picking any of these. i almost put mightyena as well for that same reason but even with that its so Just a Dog i wouldnt stop feeling weird yknow. everything else in the Dogy tier that isnt Just a Real Animal is a similar train of thought

to a degree nuzleaf and kirlia could be considered creatures or even guys ig. but their body plans, though significantly humanoid, feel very specifically Childlike in a way that i feel really weird putting them anywhere else. theyre not BABIES but they feel like elementary schoolers. maybe middle schoolers. this thought especially applies to kirlia but i do also feel this way after thinking on nuzleaf for a bit too. i think its the big head

this one i kinda had to think about ngl, i feel like theres a loooooot i could be swayed one way or another on . aside from babies

legendary dogs look very dogy but considering their power and elusiveness i decided to have them chill up with ho-oh. theyre fantastical enough on top of the dog frame i think, instead of smth like fucking . shay "green hedgehog" min. lugia meanwhile is chilling with monsters jusst because in function to me, it feels a bit more like a Pokemon elevated to legendary status, not as much of a god as others. it seems like a Guardian more than a Creator and it has a babbyy !! :)

shakiest Guy tier so far . johto didnt make a lot of humanoids tbh even smeargle and hitmontop are kinda little freaks.

i was so tempted to put slowking in the guy tier because it is one of The poster children of Pokemon with Blatantly superhuman levels of intelligence. i can picture this thing as a college math professor. i refrained because visually the only humanoid thing it has is its posture... but that is just a man to me. it feels so much like a dude even if it doesnt look the part.

the creature vs big dogy tier was so hard to sort among themselves ... i organized it to what feels best vibes wise and i think im happy enough with it. johto just has a lot of little guys that feel a lot more like animals but arent quiiiite full-on dogy with it.

shaymin was a hard one to place. ultimately landed in big dogy just because of how dogy its body plan is (esp land form, that is JUST a hedgehog. size and all), but its still kind of in the air considering it is one of the Most Personalityful Pokemon im aware of. little guys a movie protagonist i think it could voice what it wants, its just too animal shaped for my tastes

i was so close to putting floatzel in the furry tier just bc of how fucking popular it is with furries i know LMAO . but its just not quite human shaped enough to make the cut imo. still cute tho

rotom was made for the objectum community.

honchcrow hits monster tier just bc of the sheer aura it radiates. this bird is a fucking mob boss. it thinks its above you i can FEEL it.

toxicroak keeps fluctuating between a guy and a creature. like its got an extremely humanoid body type but its pointy frog features are just enough to keep it out of that spot. ultimately picked monster bc of that and how lethal and poisonous it is bc thats scary

froslass also has a fairly humanoid body plan but i also found it just weird enough to be more of a monster, as well as, again, the vibes of the pokemon itself. froslass kinda fucked up (love her for that.)

i've started judging the guys tier by trying to imagine bipedal pokemon wearing a suncap and sunglasses walking down the city streets with a cup of coffee, wearing a t-shirt that says "NORMAL HUMAN". if all/most of these things look like they fit comfortably enough that you could mistake it as human from a distance, its a guy. its pretty solid so far. most unsure picks in that tier are roserade and weavile and thats only because theyre short.

yeah this took a lot of thinking . theres definitely a few choices i could see sliding around but the categories i feel most solid on are the Hard Nos lol.

general thought process:

babies are the like, juvenile state of pokemon id typically think that could be ok when older but the hard pass is that its a baby

dogys . serve very direct animal-like or pet-like roles in the ecosystem and nothing else. those are animal these are squaking hissing barking at u.

big dogy. still fairly animal-like in behavior and role, but more fantastical and/or intelligent than dogys. these could really swing either way and depends entirely on how one would characterize them. solid yellow space. meowth and persian were the weirdest ones to place considering anime meowth is one of the most anthropomorphized and Clearly Capable of Communicating mons, and has affected the portrayal of all other meowths, but in gameverse they still just feel like... a cat. and persian is also like. just a cat. but its a more matured meowth so its as uncertain as meowth is to me by proxy

creatures . guys with weirder body plans/object like/animalish but are anthropomorphized or Not an Animal enough that it doesnt feel weird to me atp. id probably put more of these into the monster tier if it werent for the mental difference i made for that category which is

monsters. pokemon that resemble typical fantasy species, or have otherwise highly unnatural traits that give them a feeling of intimidation, scariness, or alien-ness. these are the Big Guys. the Sharp Guys. the Scary Guys. Large Insects . Beasties. yknow how it is. and they are all matured and intelligent enough to hunt/survive/battle well enough to be powerful choices. there were a few unsure choices. ninetails has a very animal-like body plan, but has very prominent intelligence and magic powers, and is based on the kitsune which i think can be considered monsterfuckable... parasect probably the shakiest choice. could bump down a tier. but mind-control fungus spore mushroom shit is another fantasy thing. and dodrio has that factor of being like a bird-cerberus that specifically mentions that its smart, esp when its heads work together.

guy/furry tier. pokemon with very humanoid proportions and intelligence. the nidos are my shakiest pick here bc they're definitely also monsterous. king feels more furrylike than queen with its body type, but theyre so fundamentally The Same Thing with sexual dimorphism i just tossed em both in as furries.

above humanity. spot reserved for the divine and godlike. legendary exclusive club. been around longer than or maybe even had a role in creating or ruling over humans. this description doesnt necessarily fit mewtwo actually but its still an insanely intelligent and powerful psychic and also like sees humans as something underfoot anyways. the debate for it is probably like Could i even tolerate you enough to do that. ew.
