Wyll and Astarion are the perfect little blend of sweet and spooky when celebrating Halloween festivities with their little one. Wyll would focus on keeping things safe, while Astarion is the one sneaking extra treats into their little one's bag when they’re not looking (how he acquired the majority of your sweets is another story for another day /lh).

Astarion loves to playfully scare his little one. While Wyll focuses on checking over your Halloween costumes, Astarion would sneak around corners in his vampire costume, ready to “pounce” with exaggerated dramatic flair. He’d also create little "tricks" for fun, like a cobwebbed doorway or an eerie shadow, all for the sheer delight of spooking Wyll just a little bit.

He may have, on more than one occasion, been gently reminded by his lover that there's more than one way to have fun without having to exert their efforts to put you down for bedtime.

After a long night of spooky fun, they’d both snuggle up to you on the couch; Wyll would wrap everyone in bundles of soft blankets and plushies, and sneaking off to bake some extra treats to make sure everyone is warm and well-fed.

Astarion might linger in the kitchen with a mischievous grin, playfully teasing about how "You're such a sucker to the little one’s requests, darling."

Storytime is always a must in your home, especially on Halloween night. Wyll always goes for the classic fairytale, and maybe something with a setting appropriate for a cozy autumn night in.

Astarion, on the other hand, loves to get creative with his storytelling. He spins darker tales of vampires, witches, and mischievous spirit, but he’s always careful to keep it light enough to not frighten his baby. His voice drops to a teasing whisper as he describes the vampire lord sneaking up on an unsuspecting hero... but then, in the next breath, he’s quick to add that the vampire's true desire is not blood, but the perfect Halloween candy.

"What is that noise? A faint rustling from the shadows?" Astarion’s voice low and ominous, before suddenly appearing with an exaggerated growl and pulling you into a hug. “Don’t worry, little one. This vampire lord only hunts the finest of candied sweets."

The pair take turns switching between comforting and spooky tales, with Wyll’s eyes softening to your giggles at Astarion’s playful movements while also sneaking in a few glances at his partner.

When it comes to pumpking carving, Wyll would guide his little one’s hands as they carve the design in together, while Astarion (not exactly fond of getting his hands messy, even if its in the service of his family) loves to sit beside the two of you to watch the creation of something that'll sit on your porch for the entirety of the month.

When it’s time for bed, Wyll is the meticulous caregiver, ensuring his little one’s pajamas are soft and warm, and he’ll gently help them into bed, tucking them in with a kiss on your forehead. He’ll give a gentle reminder about how safe they are, that any ghouls or goblins are gone, and the only thing left is the soft night to sleep through. And, if you ever need them, they are never far from where you rest.

Astarion, on the other hand, would lean in and softly ruffle your hair, grinning mischievously as he whispers, "Sleep tight, little one. I’ll be watching for any monsters lurking in the closet, and I won’t let them nibble on your candy… not just yet." Then, he’ll wink at Wyll, who just shakes his head with a fond smile.

When it comes to pumpkin carving, Blade pretends to be grumpy about the mess, but he secretly enjoys helping his little one carve pumpkins. He'd sigh dramatically before wiping your hands with a warm soft towel, especially if you don't like the texture of the innards, muttering, “You’re lucky you’re cute.”

He carves his own pumpkin with precision (it’s almost intimidatingly detailed) but he insists yours, with its crooked smile, is just perfect the way it is.

Blade insists on checking your candy haul “for poison,” but somehow he ends up taking a few bits for himself, but one little pout out of you and he'd concede to giving them back.

If you get scared by someone’s costume or decorations, he immediately scoops you up or crouches down beside you, murmuring reassurances like, “It’s just pretend, sweet boy. You’re safe.”

He helps you pick a costume, and subtly steers you toward something soft and warm so you don’t catch a cold during your long hours collecting as much candy as you can during your trick or treating festivities.

He refuses to wear a costume himself, but if his boy begs him enough, he might tie a paper bat to his coat or wear cat ears for a few minutes. The other Stellaron Hunters would call him “Batblade” for the duration of the night and he'd rolls his eyes, but doesn’t take them off.

When you ask for a Halloween bedtime story, Blade carefully avoids the gruesome ones, unless you insist on them. He tells old tales about spirits and stars instead, his voice low and calm, fingers tracing patterns on your blanket or your back/arm while you listen sleepily.

If you get scared at any point, he’ll remind you that “monsters don’t scare someone who’s already fought them,” and promises to protect you. He would also gently lift under the cover to take a peek in the different places the monster could be hiding, just so they know that he'll always keep a keen eye when it comes to your safety.

He makes you hot cocoa (that's often way too bitter until you add your own marshmallows) and sits with you under a blanket while you watch old Halloween cartoons or movies. If you end up falling asleep halfway through, Blade just sighs softly before cleaning up and tucking you in to hold in his arms.

He leaves a tiny plastic pumpkin full of candy and a tiny bat plush on your bedside for you to find in the morning. A little treat for being so brave on your Halloween adventures.

CG! Caitlyn x Regressor! Vi

a/n: as a side note i realized i wrote these headcanons post-canon from season 2,, i just get all warm and fuzzy thinking of cait taking care of her baby and finding comfort herself in caring for Vi after the two of them had experienced The Horrors™ together.

Their mansion gets a complete Halloween makeover. Caitlyn tries not to make it too spooky, as Vi's headspace during the holiday can be rather sensitive when involuntarily regressing, but just enough to create a cozy vibe for the both of them to enjoy.

Cait pulls out a large box of decorations that she had inherited from Ximena, complete with fake cobwebs on the windows, a few jack-o'-lanterns on the mantel, and a garland of tiny, smiling ghosts hanging over the door. She'd hang a large “Happy Halloween” banner over baskets of vintage candy on the table, but is always ready to comfort Vi if she gets scared of the darker decorations.

Caitlyn is often the one to choose the matching costume options for the pair of them, preferring comfort and safety against the elements of the evening. However, she gently encourages Vi to pick a costume that makes her feel happiest or gives her a sense of control.

Vi’s favorite costume would be a big, fluffy werewolf onesie that's soft, warm, and a little silly. Caitlyn opts for a costume that best depicts her intelligence and prowess; a slightly more put-together “mysterious detective” look, complete with a magnifying glass and a deerstalker hat.

Vi's hand never strays to far from her mama, their fingers tightly laced as they roam the streets of Piltover. Caitlyn makes sure to remind Vi to say "thank you" after each piece of candy is handed over. Vi insists that she holds their candy bag, and mindlessly swings it back and forth despite the large accumulation of sweets.

Once they’re back home, Caitlyn sets up a small “candy sorting station” on the floor. She encourages Vi to organize all the candy in piles of chocolate, "fruity stuff", and the weird ones that neither of them likes in a pile to be donated, traded, or tossed if the wrapper is damaged or opened. Caitlyn will sit with her and offer praise for Vi’s hard work, even when it’s clear Vi’s only doing it because it’s a fun game. Vi’s giggles fill the room as her Mama helps, passing her little candies from one pile to the next, and sometimes sneaking a few for herself as they sort.

Pumpkin carving is a big deal at the Kiramman residence. Caitlyn helps Vi scoop out all the pumpkin guts and gets quite messy. Their pumpkin has a goofy smile and crooked lines that cut out the shapes of its eyes, and Cait thinks its perfect.

As the night winds down, Caitlyn and Vi get into a comfy spot on the couch with blankets and pillows piled high. With Vi cuddled next to Caitlyn, they binge watch Halloween cartoons or comfort movies, but of course nothing too scary or loud, just the right amount of fun. Caitlyn gently brushes a few strands of hair from Vi’s face, giving her soft praise whenever she gets too scared by a “scary” moment in the movie, reassuring her that it’s all pretend, just makeup and props and acting.

As the night comes to a close, Caitlyn helps Vi change into her favorite pajamas (which are also themed complete with a set of fuzzy footwear). They brush their teeth, and Caitlyn gives Vi an ex Caitlyn stays with her for a little longer, her fingers brushing through Vi’s hair to soothe her as they talk about the day. Vi might be feeling a little more tired, but she’s also content, knowing she’s loved and safe. Caitlyn sings her a quiet lullaby or hums a soft tune until Vi drifts off to sleep, the soft glow of the jack-o’-lanterns flickering in the background.

Regressor! Mizu

a/n: (assuming this would take place in a modern "Halloween" au that we're familiar with since the characters live in the Edo-period of Japan /lh)

I like to think that one of Mizu's favorite activities when regressed for the holidays is pumpkin carving. She sits cross-legged on the floor with a little carving kit, her eyes wide with concentration. She just loves the texture of the squishy pumpkin guts and she's intrigued by how different the texture is from the outside shell.

She’ll sit in deep concentration and get the pumpkin's innards all over her hands, and, for a moment, they're completely absorbed in the fun of it. The carving itself might be a little messy, but to her the end result is always just the joy of the activity. They make a bit of a fuss when having to wipe them down or get them changed into a new outfit, but never enough to completely disregard their caregiver's assistance.

They're genuinely fascinated (yet extremely wary) by the concept of getting treats from strangers, though the idea of candy might not be as interesting to her as the concept of getting something. She might even forget to say "thank you" because she’s too busy staring at her haul with wide eyes, but a gentle reminder from a caregiver is enough to get her to smile and offer her thanks.

Mizu enjoys baking simple Halloween-themed treats with Ringo and Master Eiji. She loves to assist them with easy tasks like stirring the batter, placing chocolate chips on cookies, or frosting the cupcakes. She'd completely gobble them down to the wrapper, acting as though it’s the most delicious thing she’s ever tasted. She might even ask for a second (or third) helping, Ringo can't help but adore her when their little face lights up with delight each time she takes a bite.

If persuasive enough, someone could gently incentivize her to play Halloween games, if they’re simple and lighthearted and involves a bit of physical endurance (even more so if she can roughouse). She might play a game where she and her caregiver try to “catch” spooky ghosts by throwing soft cotton balls at them (the ghosts being little pillows with eyes drawn on them).

Regressor! Fig Faeth

Halloween is quite literally one of the most perfect holidays for the Archdevil of Rebellion to participate in. When regressed she's practically skipping to each block with excitement, demanding all the candy that each of the residents have to offer. To her, it's not just about the treats but the idea of getting something for free. She'll even try to convince the rest of The Bad Kids to dress up and go with her as a little gang of mischief-makers.

Every year her costumes become the most unconventional yet creative costumes imaginable. And yet, she somehow manages to outshine herself. One year she insisted on being a “goblin pirate princess” and would proudly state that it was an “undiscovered genre of costume". She'd then strut around covered in sparkles, jewels, and maybe even a bit of face paint because why not?

She’d find any excuse to grab extra candy from her friends (and sometimes even nab a few bits from other people's bags for herself if they aren’t paying attention).

Absolutely loves spooky stories, and is fascinated by all things occult. To her, the darker or more terrifying, the better. Even though she’s scared, she’ll beg for more after every creepy tale.

As a mischievous tot at heart, Fig loves to pull all different kinds of pranks. From putting fake spiders on authority figure's shoulders to concealing herself behind or under various objects to jump out and scare anyone that crosses her hiding spots.

She's all about harmless but mischievous energy, sometimes recruiting Ayda or Adaine into her schemes, but never actually meaning any harm. (It’s all about fun, even if she ends up laughing way too hard at their reactions.) 🕸️──🕷️──🕸️

Regressor! Adaine Abernant

Though her family didn't celebrate Halloween growing up due to it being considered a "frivolous holiday", that never stopped Adaine from re-using her favorite spooky witch costume during her time at the Adventuring Academy (Which was just a bunch of thrown together hand-me-downs from Aelwyn that her sister insists she uses to be the most well-dressed person there). She tries her hardest to be powerful but her spells often end up as harmless sparkles or bubbles, and yet she’s so proud of herself.

Adaine takes Halloween research a little too seriously when she regresses, and deep dives into the lore of mythical creatures. She’ll give her friends "very serious" assignments to “hunt monsters” and “protect the realm from evil spirits” as they walk around collecting candy and "spells". She’ll make up rules as she goes along, only half-understanding them, and gets upset when things don’t go according to the already complicated “rules” she’s set out.

Adaine is usually deeply invested in her costume, spending hours making sure it’s “the most authentic thing ever.” She’d choose something like a high-level wizard, mysterious elven ranger, or a knight of the realm, but also obsessed with its accuracy. Her costume might be a bit too complicated, filled with too many details, or she’ll ask everyone to admire her work every two minutes as she fine-tunes it. She’s a perfectionist, and even in her regressed state, she wants everything to be juuust right.

Once Adaine regresses, she’ll start asking for Halloween stories- and a whole lot of them. She’s fascinated by the eerie tales of haunted houses, ghostly apparitions, and cursed artifacts. But as much as she loves the stories, she’ll immediately become paranoid after hearing them, insisting that some of the spookier stories might just have to many details to not be considered real. The Bad Kids would find her trying to “protect” them by setting up fake warding spells around the house, which, of course, are just harmless cantrips and tiny trinkets, but it makes her feel safer. Fig offers to sit with her at the foot of her bed to help her fall asleep if she's truly anxious or vent-regressing.

She’s likely to be one of the first that volunteers to use her magic for pranks and silly tricks, casting harmless illusions or tiny enchantments to scare her friends a little (just for fun). After most of the holiday festivities are over, she loves being wrapped up in a cozy blanket with Boggy.
