On reflection, my favourite thing about re-evaluating my homebrew setting is that when I was a teenager, GMing was an outlet for my anger and frustration, creating a cruel world that mirrored our own in a grimdark way to batter down the players inside, whereas the growth and work not only to the setting but to myself has led to a sort of pre-apocalyptic noblebright setting where magic is real, where you go adventure with your friends, and help charleston the orc baker achieve his dreams.
