It falls to ruin again and again.

And not passively. Each time, Silver's garden is sacrificed for a greater good.

Burned to ashes to create fertilizer so the next generation of plants can thrive on a poisoned warground.

Burned in order to quarantine them from healthy plants. Which also created a big enough commotion that it actually did get in the way of Rough managing to poison any plants besides Silver's.

Crashed into in order to divert a falling airship away from more populated areas.

It's a metaphor for Silver's future, which similarly falls apart before his eyes again and again.

Sometimes from ripples beyond his control.

Sometimes from self-sacrifice.

Silver persists, no matter what the world takes from him. Like a stubborn weed blooming through concrete.

My friend Mohammed, his daughter Mona, and their whole family are currently trying to escape Gaza as the opportunity to do so presents itself again.

As time goes on and people continue to doubt the legitimacy of Gazan fundraisers, I must reaffirm that I know Mohammed personally, and have been in close communication with him for over a year. If nothing else, I can offer a picture of Mona by the tent they've been able to afford with previous donations.

Previously, I have posted about a mysterious screenshot published by IGN in 2000 claiming to be a preview of a Yoshi game for the Game Boy Advance. While being unrealistic in terms of the smoothness of the graphics and usage of dynamic shadows, it was claimed to be sent in by "a Japanese correspondent".

It has been discovered that the image was in fact taken from a mock-up in an issue of the Japanese Famitsu 64 magazine that was only recently scanned. While it was generally assumed that the picture was fake to begin with, this is finally definitive proof that it was never official.
