I DID THIS IM VERY PROUD OF IT YOU KNOW WHY
BECAUSE
WAIT FOR IT
LORDEΒ OF THE RINGS
But every dayβs like
Gold ring, greybeard, trippinβ on the mushrooms
Blood-mad Nazgul trashinβ the hotel room
We donβt care
We got to Rivendell across the stream
And everybodyβs like
Mountains, dwarf mines, presents from the Elf Queen
Rowboats, rock paths, Gollum on a rope leash
We donβt care
Yeah weβre simply gonna walk in there
Cuz weβre going to Moooooordor
(Moooooordor)
I finally found the original. I will now put it on my blog, bless this legendary post that ended up a meme
also rewatched the first episode of rgu last night and was thrown off by the mention of a regional basketball tournament. can you imagine being a regular school basketball team and having to play against the surreal psychological horror metaphor and allegory school team
(Guy who has only read the manga of NausicaΓ€ of the Valley of the Wind and hasn't really watched Miyazaki's other movies) yeah I love the #ghibli aesthetic
#aesthetic #comfy vibes

I got a new hat at the lizard show. They had a lesbian lizard shirt that I was also considering, but I am more of a hat wearer. The lovely ladies who made this hat don't seem to have it online, but I'm linking to them anyways because they're my favorites.
YOU CAN GET THIS ON A SHIRT
Also the Lesbian Lizard shirt I considered:
Parthenogenesis Pink & White Trucker Hat
The hat is up!!! Get it so we can match and be besties!!!
(cw: sexual assault) the pedophile -as it is understood outside of academic circles- is a mythical creature. the idea that a complete stranger who kidnaps and sexually assaults kids is their biggest threat is absolutely insane; not one case of CSA (child sexual assault) in a hundred looks like that. CSA is committed almost uniformly by adults in a preestablished position of authority (such as family, family friends, clergy, or teachers) and in a way that a victim who doesn't know what sexual assault looks like will be left unsure what happened to them. without knowing concretely how sex and sexuality works, would you be able to tell the difference between molestation and the various other forms of unwanted physical touch and abuse kids are regularly subjected to? would it even seem that different? but parenthood and the submission of youth to adults as institutions are threatened by the reality of CSA. adults need to justify their ownership of children through an imagined outside threat constantly held at bay through their diligence. the truth - that putting yourself in such a position of authority over children directly enables abuse (including sexual abuse) - is thrown aside.
Enlightening addition.
the thing is that for all its supposed faults, i would take this brand of 90s utopian globalism over whatever the fuck weβve been doing for the last 10 years in a heartbeat

TWO FREE PATTERNS!
For those who don't know, I'm doing my PhD dissertation on 19th-century plus-size fashion, and as part of it I've been patterning larger antique garments.
Last year, I was able to go to Genesee Country Village & Museum in upstate NY and pattern an early 1800s corset as well as an 1830s dress. Full instructions, photo albums, & print-optimized versions up on Etsy if you need more guidance or would like to support my work, but my agreement with the museum was that I would put simple gridded patterns up for free alongside the paid versions. And those are now up!
1830s dressΒ (L/XL) Bust: ~43β (109cm) with the center-front gap Waist: 32.5β (82.5cm)
Last year, curator Brandon Brooks at Genesee Country Village & Museum was kind enough to let me come and pattern a c. 1831 morning dress in
1810s corsetΒ (M/L) Bust: 39β (99cm) Waist:Β 31.5β (80cm)

Tag me if you use them, I'd love to see!
