I can’t believe I missed the most obvious mermaid au of all

Mira, the lover girl that she is, freaks out because what if they aren’t? She can’t lose Rumi. Her parents never cared about that, only seeking matches based on financial merit or prosperity. And what if their signs don’t match? She doesn’t understand any of it. So she goes to the matchmaker and pays her to say they are perfect for each other. It doesn’t occur to her that Celine could check the results for herself later on or anything because she really has no idea how it works

What she doesn’t know is…

Rumi doesn’t really believe in it either, she’s just doing it for Celine and she feels her eomma would want it, so she’s stuck. BUT, she goes to the same matchmaker and pays her to say they are perfect for each other

They go to see the matchmaker (who is actually Zoey) the next day or two and get their paid for results. Celine would invite her to the wedding.

After a year and they are having a kid (from ivf or whatever), the girls are so happy. Until Celine (who was wary of Mira just because they’re pretty alike) says that while looking at the babies possible star chart herself, she notices that her daughter in law is not astrologically compatible with each other.

Both of them are panicking. And when Mira looks at Rumi, Rumi is like ‘……. I have something to tell you’ and admits she paid for the false compatibility

Mira has to slap a hand over her mouth and turn away because she’s about to just laugh in her face. She’s trying really hard and Rumi thinks she must be crying but when she looks, she sees Mira laughing in silence and she’s like ‘why are you laughing at me’

‘Because I did it too. I didn’t want to lose you, I was scared’

After they laugh about it together because like the loved each other so much. Rumi thought it was so sweet and Mira thinks is was cute but also kinda hot that she’d make this up to Celine because she definitely knows what Celine is like by now.

But then they’re like ‘wait so the matchmaker just took both of our money and didn’t say anything’

Bobby makes Rumira go on a date because they keep getting in arguments (before debuts)

Celine doesn’t know anything about Bobby doing this but she knows whatever Bobby is doing seems to work. She used to just make them separately do extra chores.

Bobby has a like more modern mind and has them go out on a date because they will be in a different environment and maybe they can chill

Maybe open up

It works in a way that they realize the other one tries to make them mad but for what we “don’t” know

And every time some guys try to hit on them and they just end up bonding by leaving them to do something else

One time having to do this Mira went to get the food from the bar or something and some guy tries to hit on her, but she’s in eyeshot of Rumi and Rumi doesn’t think she can see her

Mira immediately sees Rumi scowl and be annoyed and act jealous about it by rolling her eyes

When she dodges him, she doesn’t bring him up at all or what she saw of Rumi. Instead she just feels all butterflies and stuff, but she plays it cool

Another time they dodge a couple guys by going out on the dance floor together and she touches Rumi in guiding her movements back against her hips or facing her when Rumi is finally letting loose, trying to hint that she’s into her

One of these times, she feels like she needs to touch and kiss her and claim her but she excuses herself to the bathroom for a few minutes

When she comes back, some guy is trying to dance on her Rumi and Rumi is just looking annoyed, but like she thinks she can get out of it by agreeing for one dance because they won’t take a hint

Possessive lover girl secret crush on Rumi Mira storms right up to him and yanks Rumi, kissing her right there in the middle of the dance floor at the lounge

And then it’s like ‘wait is this why you kept pissing me off’ and they’re laughing and giggling about it
