I was accepted into a college course to study music despite the fact I’d never had a music lesson before and couldn’t play any instruments or read music (I also now can’t sing anymore because I received so many hurtful (sometimes well-meant) comments over the years it ended up crushing me completely). I got my qualification though. And have never, ever used it for anything.
