Hi everyone! Has any international fan bought any merchandise from The King’s Avatar?

I really want to buy some (official) merchandise, especially, that collector’s edition of the novel, but I’m kinda lost lol I already checked World Taobao, but I’m not confident enough to order. (what if I mess up or something lol 😅)

Do note that most (if not all) current merchandise are based on the novel/manga character designs, and not the animation. Except those from the McDonald’s collaboration at this point of writing.

And this seller has the collector’s edition of the novel vol. 1-10 and has the most reviews on the China Taobao. Vol. 11 is on pre-order and will be released on June 20th and with very limited stock here. They have a side story too. Based on reviews, they say it is the real deal. But I personally have not bought from them so I cannot guarantee the authenticity.

Secondly, not sure how you would normally buy stuff from Taobao/Tmall as this depends on where you are from. I live in SEA and use a proxy that I’ve been using for years. You can try searching for buy-for-me/proxy services, or group orders if you are not confident in ordering, due to language barriers or whatever reason. If you just need help with shipping to your country, then go for forwarding services.

Taobao now has their own forwarding service that ships internationally (to most countries), without the need to look for outside proxies/forwarding services. Shipping might not be cheap, but it should be cheaper compared to other outside sources. Just make sure to go to World Taobao, instead of Taobao, and create an account. The only “downside” is that the language doesn’t change, but no worries everyone, you can use google translate for this~ 

These guides (1 | 2) helped me out a lot last night. Of course, if anyone gets lost or confused in any of the steps you can also ask me. I’ve already completed most of the steps, so I can try helping you to the best of my ability. As mentioned by kookykuma, there are other outside sources that can help you if you aren’t confident to do this by yourself.

The ones I added to my cart (not purchased yet) last night were these 2: The **Collector’s Edition (It will include Vol.1-11, but you have to pre-order before June 30th) and the side story Peak Glory. They seem to be official and have good ratings, but I haven’t confirmed yet. Unless you want to take the risk, I would suggest going with kookykuma’s link for now since that’s a confirmed official distributor.

I’ve only ever purchased from Japan/Korea and the shipping has always been like $35 (EMS shipping). I’ve never ordered using proxies/forwarding services, so I’m not sure how they work, but I hope it’s not too much of a price difference. I’m assuming that I might end up paying between $100-$150 USD in total. That’s an estimate, but I hope it’s less than that. The downside of living overseas lol, If my calculations are off then RIP to my wallet lol
