Genuinely the only two things worth watching are: Jules finding out from Cal about Nate, and Nate and Jules smoking together. YouTube search “cal and Jules talk” “Nate and Jules smoke”, THE REST OF IT IS HOT GARBAGE. They’ve slaughtered both Nate and Jules’ characters, my friends and I are just hate watching now and it really is just Sam’s fetish porn for Sydney Sweeney now. Nate and Jules have so little screentime individually as characters too and what screentime they do have is….abominable. Despicable. TO AO3

OH OH AND Jules finds out from Cal that Nate did tell the truth in s2, because she asks Cal why she never got called by the cops to be a witness. So she learns Nate wasn’t lying when he gave her the only copy of the tape. She looks over at Nate a couple times and they share a look at the reception.

Alright sadly I feel like this will be the only Nate Jules scene in the whole damn season, but they do have an electrifying 2 minutes after his wedding to Cassie where they smoke together. He basically admits he can’t help still loving her (but he can’t be with her) and she smiles. It’s all very loaded and ambiguous and so many people are saying it’s the only time that Jacob seems to be locked in. In the BTS, Sam talks about how Jules still has feelings for Nate or at least cares enough to come to the wedding. Hunter talks about how Jules is still confused on her feelings for Nate, Jacob talks about how Nate has changed. Sam does make it sound like they’re never going to interact again tho “they’ve both moved on, grown up, they are where they are now” and “there was this fantasy of what could’ve been if Nate wasn’t so troubled and there’s a lot that’s unsaid and the poignancy in how it can be interpreted” so he’s basically like lmao okay fanfic writers go off. And you know what, THAT’S FINE I’d rather Sam not fuck it up the way he has nearly everything else in the show anyway.
