With a month that felt like a year, I’m grateful for the month ahead with revived awareness of the importance of BOUNDARIES 😳 Setting boundaries could mean saying no to unreasonable demands from our friends or family. ⁠ 👇🏼. ⁠ We have the right to take a break from work (it can be emotional & mental - this past week is a clear example-) at the first sign of exhaustion instead of powering through with the help of caffeine or apparent willpower.⁠ 👇🏼. ⁠ Even the exposure to social media and negative news can leave us drained and burned out. How good are you at setting and upholding boundaries?⁠⠀ At one time or another, 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 - 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐰. ⁠⠀ ⁠ ⁠⠀ Every year around my birthday (which was yesterday btw 😉), I revisit these steps. ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ And this year it has been more necessary than ever before because it's time to keep our social distancing from people and situations that drain our energy!⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Regardless of the situations around you, never doubt that you are a strong and powerful being bound to achieve amazing things!⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ So in this week's podcast episode, I share with you 𝟕-𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐲 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬. ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ This episode was inspired by so many conversations that my sister, Alexa @aliusdance, and I have had since C19 hit us back in early March.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ As a Latinx, woman, catholic, and raised by a very chauvinistic father, I grew up as a people pleaser and I had to𝒃𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒌 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒚 𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝒃𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒎𝒚 𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈....⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ {Yeap! You guessed it. This is NOT the question you should be asking (yet). And it’s exactly why so many entrepreneurs get stuck in the planning stage of list building.

Whether you’re coaching business owners, new moms, bloggers, or youth pastors, they have a need that only you can fulfill. . And when you discover what that need is, you’ll have two valuable pieces of information:

🌟What incentive will be a true no-brainer for your ideal client to opt-in to your list? 
. 
🌟How can you use your mailing list to provide the best value for those who join your list? .

Don’t over-think these questions, though. Your opt-in incentive can be as simple as a resource guide or a short how-to video that answers a common question.

And when it comes to providing value to your list members, keep TWO things in mind: . 
1️⃣ THERE ARE PEOPLE ON THE OTHER SIDE 🥰 . 
2️⃣ Be consistent, they are counting on you as the thought leader in your market to distill and provide the information, tools and products that they want and need. .
