I don't think the Rose regeneration would normally be an issue bc they can always, always soft-relaunch Doctor Who by just starting a new show with a new Doctor and companion and filling in the history later on but everything so far reads like they have to address it bc it was too well-known. Maybe everyone will have forgotten by the 2030s but it really feels like we're in for a real reboot when we don't have to be (or at least we're in for "a scene where some incidental character's conversation lays out what's canon and what's not" à la Halloween 2018)
