So how much longer are we gonna pretend "higher than normal call volume" is a thing that exists. I think its normal call volume actually and you just arent hiring enough people. I think if you experience higher than normal for a very long time its no longer higher than normal its just normal and youve failed to adjust accordingly
It totally is a thing, but if you are like all the other people, then you will call during high call volume. When there is high call volume, that means most of the people are calling at once, and as a result, most people who call call during high call volume. This is just an inherent problem of office hours of callers and call centres. It's not like you can schedule a call to a random time, or 9 o'clock on a Tuesday morning.
Employers just hate to pay people to twiddle their thumbs and wait for somebody to call, but without overcapacity, you don't get through all the calls that bunch up.
So did you miss the part where I said higher than average for an extended period of time is not higher than average, its just average. I know how it works thats why I made a post complaining about it. Whether or not there are periods during the day where theres more activity, it should be accounted for if that period occurs daily, and since it occurs daily, it is not "higher than average" its just average. But thanks for explaining it to me.

the thing about being kinda dumb and also learning a second language is youd think the hard part is actually learning the language but really its seeing anything written in a different third language you dont know at all and your brain says "spend 3 minutes trying to figure out what this says" before realizing what you're lookin at
There are many fun reasons to have a character avoid using guns, but I think "this otherwise-awesome fighter is a really terrible shot" is an underappreciated one. Yes, they're available in my setting and would work against my enemies. No, I don't have a moral code against them or a power that makes them redundant. I just can't aim for shit!
In general IMO the more badass and hypercompetent a character is, the more they're enriched by having one skill they're just absolutely hopeless at. Terrible shot, terrible liar, terrible dancer, no poker face, no sense of direction, can't drive, can't swim, can't cook, can't read, always broke, always late, always falls for a certain trick...
