At the apple store trying to get my iPad unlocked (either my brain is fried and I totally forgot my passcode, or it glitched and stopped recognising it.)
Worker: so I'm afraid the port is also broken so I can't plug it in to reset the iPad.
Me: can it be fixed?
Worker: no, the only option is to buy a new one for £700-£1200.

This is my way of saying I just had a massive unexpected expense to pay 🙃 I managed to find a secondhand iPad for a discount but still... that's a lot of money I didn't expect to be spending this month.
I also lost an enormous number of WIPs for It's a Spectrum which I'd been saving for after I finished my graphic novel, along with a bunch of other art I hadn't backed up yet 😭 Truthfully I'm a little bit devastated.
ANYWAY, long story short I've decided to open up emergency commissions and I want to draw your pets!
They'll be simple cute drawings like the examples below, and for this month only they are super cheap!
£5 for line art, £10 for full colour, and £15 for shaded.
I would normally charge £20 or more for these so you'll be getting a cute picture of your pet for a big discount ❤️

One time I was leaving a friend's place and an older lady with basically no English came up to me and communicated that she was very cold and needed a ride. She pointed to tell me where to go.
I got there and her daughter or granddaughter came out and was like omg her phone died we were worried
And then the older lady said something and the younger lady translated.
"She knew she could trust you because you have pink hair"
I thought it was funny at the time. But when I think back on it I think she was basically saying "you had a visible sign of not vibing with the system I was afraid of"

I don't know who needs to hear this, but if the phrase "self care" doesn't resonate with you, try calling it "system maintenance" and see if that clicks.

I've noticed that the audios we've gotten in Welcome Home's story so far, while certainly giving the puppets time to shine, also highlight their flaws--
Wally: Distant and largely unaware of his surroundings
Barnaby: Has fun at others' expense
Julie: Self-assured and sticks wholeheartedly to her beliefs, even when there's evidence for the contrary
Frank: Uses knowledge to push his own viewpoint as absolute truth
Eddie: Clumsy and forgetful
Howdy: Prefers what's humorous or personally convienent over what's helpful or needed
Sally: Self-centered and perfectionist, only wanting things done a certain way
Poppy: Reclusive and overworrier, constantly questioning whether her surroundings are safe
The thing is, it's rare to see characters that are supposed to be good influences for children have inherit flaws, especially flaws that are a complete subversion of what they stand for--
Wally: Constantly learning and taking in new information about the world around him
Barnaby: Wants to make others laugh and smile
Julie: Loves to make new games that are fair and fun for everyone to play
Frank: Uses his knowledge to help others come to their own conclusions
Eddie: Faithfully delievers the mail on time and to the right location
Howdy: Runs his bodega with jokes as currency as a service to the other neighbors, making sure everyone has what they need
Sally: Puts on plays that allow not only her to shine, but others as well
Poppy: Motherly figure who, despite her anxiety, tries to be involved in the neighborhood
So when things go down... hooooo boy, they could really go down...
