I am genuinely afraid that they making P3 more marketable than unique and consciously sacrificing the things people love about the series. Aside from everything you said, that I mostly agree with anyways, can we talk about the CONCEPT of straight-up ROMANTIC subplot with DANIIL? Maybe it's just me but it feels so out of character of him and, most importantly, out of place in the pure message that the game provides. It'd feel the same if they'd make, let's say, the same subplot but with Artemy and Lara. Their relationships were created as simply platonic and depicted them as loyal to each other in deep and meaningful way. (Don't get me wrong - I love cute headcanons and ships of the characters fans have fallen in love with, even if the game itself isn't about those concepts or relationships. But if fandoms got everything they wanted in any series, they wouldn't stay as invested in the storylines and characters. They loved the original series for specific reasons, and giving in to every demand would take those things away. The same goes with Patho - I love silly headcanons and situationships created by people here, but that's precisely why I appreciate them. They exist WITHIN the fandom, not in the game, which is an entirely different experience.) At the end of the day I'm a bit worried about how P3 will end up. The first demo was really promising, so I'm hoping they'll make the right decisions. Especially since they're also responsible for Darkwood II from now on…
