The struggle is real🌙

I was struggling with notes on the OB floor. My senior at sign-out helped me out, honesty I already felt like a lost kid and the way she spoke to me and coddled my feelings made me feel like a kid even more. I am too old to feel like that, but it felt nice to be taken care of.

we talked for a bit, she found out that l made cervical dilation beads for my class, cause she made it for a her class. Nice bonding moment. Following morning at the handoff she gave me this bracelet! She’s so cool! She didn’t make it cheesy and casually said “yea you know when you’re thinking of someone and you end up making something so this happened for you”

friend you see the finished product of me working hard on my social skills. Personality and learnt behaviour are 2 different things. I go home everyday and crash. I learnt that if I say everything with a smile or act cute it brings the walls down of the other person and in turn makes me feel less nervous. If people don’t smile or don’t make effort to converse I shut down VERY fast. I’m very shy but I’ve grown to be less afraid of being around people, and I let myself loose a little when I’m around people who make me feel comfortable

Nearlyheadlessdoctor had a wild day! I’ve officially started my first rotation on Tuesday and all week I felt like a med student but today I was just thrown into the deep end and told to swim! Holy fuck! The day I’ve had! C-section is butcher work!! Circumcision? Feel like taking his skin off the chicken or something?… the amount of fucking charting and orders you have to put in as a doctor they don’t train you for this in medschool!!

well, that’s why I went . really anyone I expected to be there was not there anyone I was hoping to be there was not there so it was just his family and one other person from our team.

I am NOT going anywhere with his wife cause she was eager to go farmers market trips.

i've been contemplating getting out of the apple ecosystem but might not be able to during residency. people with samsung switched to iphone cause everyone at hospital had apple.

i've looked into the following phones : Samsung a57, iphone 15 or 16, Google pixle 9 (something), Nothing phone, not sure if chinese brand i can get in the states.
