A sex scene is like a dialogue scene.

In a dialogue scene, characters have things they want to say. They feel a certain way when they say those things, and they want the person/people they are addressing to react a certain way to what they've said. At the end of the interaction the reader should have a greater understanding of each character's perspective on the subject that was just discussed, and a greater understanding of the relationship between the characters.

If you want the dialogue scene to move the plot forward, then the way the characters feel about each other needs to change over the course of the conversation. They need to have learned something during the interaction, about each other and/or themselves, that potentially changes their relationship dynamic.

In a sex scene, characters have physical acts they want to do. They feel a certain way when they do those things, and they want the person/people they are doing those things with to react a certain way to what they've done. At the end of the interaction the reader should have a greater understanding of each character's perspective on the the sex that was had, and a greater understanding of the relationship between the characters.

Grace Hopper did more than coin the term “bug”. She invented the first program linker in the early 1950s, for the UNIVAC I. A program linker translates instructions from one language to another (for example, numerical codes that represent instructions translated to machine code that computers can read), which is the very foundation of how computer’s operate independently. she also pulled a steve rogers and tried to enlist in the military a bunch of times and was denied. then, an exception was made for her when she joined the navy reserves, and she ended up serving for over 40 years (half of which was active duty). she retired from the navy Rear Admiral Grace Hopper. she was born in NYC in 1906. Grace Hopper was a fucking badass.

sewing is one of those skills everyone with the ability should know IMO. i’ve known too many people who just throw out perfectly servicable clothing and bedding because of tears or buttons that have fallen off and these can be fixed at home. sewing’s not hard either.
