She missed being able to bounce around conversations so easily but with her wedding planning and everything seemingly being so active at the moment she got little peace at events like this. Her hand covered her mouth as she bit into the horderves. Finish before she opened her mouth to speak. "No, gorgeous, really. Your outfit truly gives artistic chic." At least their family was not the point of tonight's event." Lucille smiled. "You could be a piece of art yourself."

"Oh, thank you, darling! You're entirely too kind and I mean please, enough about me. Can we talk about you? You are looking absolutely fabulous, I'm utterly blown away. And... I did indeed hear about a very exciting engagement-," Jamie grinned before taking Lucille Fairchild's left hand in hers. "Ah, the ring is stunning. I'm blown away, there's stars in my eyes. Oh, you must so be looking forward to the big day. I just love a wedding."

"oooooh a jamie park fashion show? we're being blessed on the streets of the upper east side" she smiled brightly "thank you, i've bene wanting to wear this since i bought it. today seemed a good a day as any to break it out" she welcomed jamie sitting next to her, ignoring the flashes of cameras and press yelling "i'm glad you're having a great time on the show. what a wonderful feeling to feel like you're capturing lightning in a bottle again like you did with 'sunset bay'." at the movement of jamie, serena leaned in to hear her "no! shut up!! that's so exciting for them. i can't wait to see it." she gasped "really? oh how i'd pay a fortune to be in that casting room for that process. i'd love to know who they'd pair you with. you never know, they might already be discussing names. i for one can't wait to find out who it is, i need to know more about your character immediately"

"that would be fun, wouldn't it? you could walk in it if you liked, hypothetically speaking. oh, it's perfect. you're giving casual elegance with a side of je ne sais quoi. yes, that's exactly it, my love. 'lightning in a bottle'. seeing sienna, frankie and scottie work together has been quite surreal and nostalgic for me. sometimes it's like looking into the past. hopefully, they don't make quite so many mistakes," she joked. jamie was delighted that serena was enjoying the show and was excited for more. she was always glad to see her happy and carefree. serena deserved the very best of the best. "right? i mean, you didn't hear it from me, obviously but... it's all very exciting. i'm completing in the dark! i'm going to be just as gobsmacked as the rest the world when i finally get my marcus."

Dawson always tried to put himself fully into anything he was doing. He saw his art as a way to connect with everyone and to let people into who he was. He had a hard time doing that with his words, but it was easy when he could use his talent. "It's a great gallery. I am dying to get my art in here. You can get anything you want. Peter's a nice guy; I am sure he would love to have you host a part here." He grinned as he listened to her talk about the show; he could tell how happy it made her. He could listen to her talk about anything for however long she wanted, Jamie was captivating. "Gotta say whoever cast you as a beautiful ageless vampire deserves a big raise. She is, honestly, I am always surprised how different she is in person. You would expect her to have a much bigger ego for someone so young and talented. Oh, I demand it. I could watch you two do anything. A close second is her and Frankie."

"Oh, now that I can see for you. Do you have a piece in mind that you want to see in here most of all? Well, I can be fairly persuasive when I want to be," she joked. The gears were already turning in her head, though. What she could do with this space for an evening, the art she could bring in from her private collection. The wine she could have brought in and the entertainment. A classy yet ultimately debaucherous evening with her new and old friends. A true house warming. "Then I think that's exactly what I will have to do. Oh, don't they just? Life imitating art, I know," she laughed. "Sienna is a true sweetheart, I must say. There is nothing with being a diva-in-training but she truly has a heart of gold. We'll have to lock in a few more projects together then, won't we? Frankie and Sienna are magnetic. And with Scottie... The three of them are truly electric."

"Yes, it's always my favorite part. Getting to know your new home. A little bit, I have moved a bit. I spent a year abroad in college, first in Paris and then in Rome. That's the dream, I hope I will do it one day. I can only imagine what I could create." Dawson looked around the room, considering the lighting as she spoke. "It is pretty great. I have seen it a few times, mostly amateur productions."

"Oh, me too. There's nothing like learning the corners of a new place until it truly does feel like home. Paris and Rome are perfect for inspiration, I can imagine that did you wonders. Well, I'm sure the world is yours for the taking. Ah, there's always a special place in my heart for amateur theater," she added with a grin and a hand over heart. After all, so many of them had their start in school productions. "That is where diamonds hide."

as stubborn as she was, a smile formed when she saw jamie running the place like she was born to. since she had arrived late to the gallery, she decided to go seek out the host to say her hellos and apologise for running behind on time - rebecca hated being late.

"oh, you must have hated that. not to worry though, i know fine well the party doesn't truly start until rebecca ravenwood arrives," she teased before grinning widely. "thank you! this is one of lian's latest designs, i'm so glad you like it. good, i'm glad to hear it. oh, i'm wonderful," jamie waved a hand around the room to emphasise the wonder of it all. in truth, she couldn't have been happier. the years she had lost with rebecca, johnny, di and yes... even roman, weren't lost on her. it was something special to have them all back together on a permanent basis.

jamie park was one of her favourite humans. she adored the woman both personally and professionally. "jamie, hi!" she grinned "i'm good thank you, you look stunning. how are you? once again you've outdone us all with all of this" she gestured to the bustling event going on around them. "thank you for the invite, it was kind of you"

"hi!" jamie grinned back, gently grasping olivia's shoulders in greeting. "you're too sweet, my beautiful girl. thank you ever so much. i'm wonderful! oh, it's been such a marvelous night thus far, don't you think? you're most welcome, i'm so glad you could make it. can i get you anything at all?"

"Thank you, I might have been fishing for a compliment." Dawson grinned at her. If he ever needed someone to lift his spirits, Jamie was someone he trusted to help. She was unexpected in the best way. "I did some of the work, Andrea helped me thrift it. I think you are right, all your friends are very interesting."

"As you should! What's life without a little flattery, hm?" she teased. "Oh, wonderful. Andrea is your friend who works for Julliard, isn't she? I would love to meet her, all your stories with her have been so fun and just the perfect amount of outrageous. I'm so glad you think so. Do remember to get out there, work the room, let as many people as you can find out how interesting you are." Jamie grinned at his compliments, it was always very sweet to hear. She let out a delighted laugh when he mentioned the wine, following his gaze to the free table.

Sienna knew she did it to herself too much. She could be so confident with her acting. But self-confidence was still a big work in progress for her. "You are right. We both look great. A few things, I am going home to see my parents and my siblings. But I may or may not have booked a movie this summer. Possibly two."

"That's my girl," Jamie smiled fondly. She would encourage Sienna at every turn if she had to, there was nothing more heartwarming than watching her truly bloom. "Oh, wonderful! Do you miss home? A movie. That's so exciting, Sienna. You're going to be busy - just make sure to take some time out for yourself too. Sometimes you truly just need a moment to yourself. Reset, recharge, refill. Refill?" she asked, holding up the bottle that had been graciously brought over to their table with a grin.

she fought the bile rising in her throat at being called darline by jamie park. she fought even harder to avoid rolling her eyes or making a face of annoyance. "park" she nodded "i'm fine as one assistant can be. the day ravenwoods rest i'll be out of a job, and we all know that day isn't coming" roman's antics alone would keep her employed for the rest of her life. "no, i'm on the clock" she looked around to see if there was an escape route for this conversation but there was no luck when it was the party host talking to you "i suppose it's custom to ask how you are"

iris was a tough nut to crack, wasn't she? jamie had struggled to figure her out since she'd first appeared on set with rebecca. never to worry, though! she was sure they just needed more time to gel. jamie let out an easy laugh at her comment on the ravenwoods. "quite right, stick with them and you'll never be bored. well, far be it from me to set you on the wrong path. we can only take note from your professionalism even in the face of all this," she joked, waving an ever dramatic hand. jamie quirked a brow at her question, brushing it off with a laugh. "i suppose it would be. i'm wonderful, thank you. the night seems to be going rather splendidly."

he huffed a weak laugh and winced at the sharp pain in his ribs that was shooting the agony around his body like a pinball. "maybe i am, where's your pass?" he could hear the difference in her voice and see the exhaustion of someone who had been put through the ringer today. "i've noticed. the p in park stands for princess these days" he jabbed with a tired smile "yeah, like getting on my last damn nerve whenever you feel like it"

jamie couldn't help laughing in spite of the severity of the situation. nothing could keep roman ravenwood from being so... roman ravenwood. "princesses don't need hall passes," she shot back, a small smile tugging at her lips. "well, that's just a hobby. besides, you're way too easy," she teased. the machines surrounding him were too loud and bright, but she could only feel comforted by them. it was tangible proof that he was alive. that he was going to be okay. jamie was tired to the bone, utterly drained from the hours of waiting and catastrophizing. she needed to see him for herself, though.

if he felt like being an asshole to jamie, he would've tried to convince ingrid to work for him, that was how impressed he was by her. however, he was also smart enough to know that jamie would put him in an early grave for even attempting a stunt like that. "i can see why you both get along and work well together. she reminds me of you" she had the same fire, the same drive, the same lack of tolerance for his bullshit. he liked this fit for her. roman chuckled, a smirk on his face. he leaned in "say what you want about it but i remember a certain someone having the time of her life at those parties we used to throw" who could forget one of the many times the sunset bay lawyers had to bail him and johnny out of the law "besides, we still made it. remember i set those fireworks off the hotel roof and in the ballroom....and the lobby...and one got in an elevator but that wasn't planned" before he was promptly banned from said hotel. the doorman still radios security when he walks by the front door.

"i think ingrid would be quite pleased to hear that," jamie smiled. investing in the people she surrounded herself with was a joy, one that she hoped to carry on for many more years. she loved to see anyone learn and grow, and one day fly out of her nest into whichever spotlight they chose. jamie laughed at the memories and the outrageously accurate accusations. "i won't be confirming anything, thank you. i do believe you scarred that hotel manager for the rest of their life. no one can deny it was a spectacle, though. one i'll always remember fondly even if i've been made bias from all the chateaux margaux that night."

"a show about us would be a networks dream and you know it. i will say that it couldn't be shown before the safe harbor window with the strong language, sexual references and whatnot" he shrugged with the smirk never leaving his face because he knew he was right. the brat pack history over the years could make a whole convent blush. they were shameless in their time, some still were. regardless, they both knew the network had locked in on all the brat pack being back together, and they were going to make the most of it. from a business perspective roman understood it, it was business, they didn't give a shit about any underlying history between any members.

jamie scoffed at him, utterly indignant that he would speak so cavalierly about their past. that he had the gall to speak at all, actually! it turned out she wasn't quite over his lack of attendance at the premiere last october. it turned out she wasn't quite over the way their eyes had met three months ago at the worst possible time. had they? no, she must have imagined it. the point was, she thought that she could be civil in this moment of reunion but then he was on his feet, standing a mere breath away from her and she couldn't. she was still so upset and she couldn't stand herself for being unable to hide it.

"Jamie." She greeted the other woman with an overly sweet smile and matching enthusiasm. "Thank you, you're too kind, and looking absolutely stunning yourself. It's been too long." Blythe and Jamie hadn't exactly been close during the years that she was with Roman, but any interaction between them had always been pleasant–perhaps too pleasant–and despite what people may be saying, she wasn't here to sabotage Jamie's event. "Oh, if there's something more exciting on the go, who am I to refuse?"

"Now who's too kind? Thank you, Blythe, I appreciate it. Oh, it has, hasn't it? I'm sorry that we haven't been able to catch up before now, I've been very talented at overbooking myself lately. Wonderful. Follow me-," she offered, guiding them away from the gathered and very much staring crowd. She had stashed a few expensive and special bottles near the back. "Do I remember correctly about you being a whiskey woman?"

ingrid laughed at jamie's wink. she was lucky to have a boss as kind and fun as jamie. some people were dealing with hellish bosses but she had won the assistant lottery, there was no way a complaint would be heard leaving her lips about jamie king. looking over to the event organiser who had stopped to stare at jamie and her, ingrid shot them a look of daggers to startle them back into unpacking the crystal. "anything to help. i won't accept anything that you wouldn't. are you having a good time? i saw there were some unexpected situations unfolding you were dealing with." mainly the random uninvited arrival of blythe elswood, and who couldn't watch like a hawk when roman ravenwood was around. the man screamed trouble, but at least his sister was here to keep him somewhat in line.

"i know you won't and i may say, you are my perfect proxy. you've handled everything just as i would have and you know i trust your instincts. yes, of course! i'm having a marvelous time, darling. i'm surrounded by interesting art and people, my dearest friends and family. oh, and the wine is to die for you. this already feels like a night i won't ever forget," jamie smiled fondly. at ingrid's mention of their gatecrasher, she waved a hand. "nothing to worry about. if anything, it's my fault. i should have reached to blythe before now and made sure she was on the list. nevermind, all's well that ends well. plus, in a true plot twist, i do believe that roman won't be any trouble tonight." in fact, it may have even been a fresh start for them.
