From the early SoundCloud releases of ayice to the evolving SEYAIKA catalog, an artist’s public discography tells the story of someone unwilling to stay in one place.

There is a particular kind of underground artist whose career exists almost entirely through fragments.

A SoundCloud upload here.

A cryptic song title there.

An EP released without much fanfare.

A song that disappears.

A new alias.

A collaboration.

A handful of comments from listeners who seem to have been there from the beginning.

SEYAIKA—whose SoundCloud pages also use the name ayice—fits comfortably into that world.

The artist’s publicly available catalog stretches back to 2022 and has continued evolving through 2026, moving between early SoundCloud material, albums, singles and collaborations. While relatively little conventional biography exists online, the music itself provides a surprisingly detailed record of the project’s development. 

The ayice Era

The earliest easily documented material under the name appears on SoundCloud in 2022.

On September 24, 2022, “15.” was uploaded to the artist’s SoundCloud account. Two days later came “devils advocate! (okayjml),” and on October 19, “I Feel like a monster.” The pages identify the performer as “seyaika // ayice,” suggesting that the two names have been connected within the project’s online identity. 

The early music already reveals an artist interested in crossing boundaries.

The SoundCloud metadata around “15.” includes tags such as disco, dance, EDM and deep house alongside names from contemporary internet rap. “devils advocate!” similarly carries tags spanning pop, house and rap-oriented artists. 

That combination would become one of the most recognizable characteristics of the catalog.

Even before the later releases, ayice didn’t appear particularly interested in treating genre as a strict boundary.

“Compassion!” and the First Major Marker

One of the most visible early songs is “Compassion!”

Apple Music lists Compassion! as a 2022 single, while SoundCloud currently shows the track under the “seyaika // ayice” identity. A later sped-up version was also released in 2023. 

The song has also accumulated considerably more attention on SoundCloud than many of the surrounding early uploads. A public playlist collecting ayice material lists “compassion!” at more than 670,000 plays, alongside thousands of plays for other songs from the period. 

That makes “Compassion!” one of the clearest entry points into the project’s early catalog.

It also illustrates something important about underground internet music: a song doesn’t necessarily need traditional industry infrastructure to become the track people associate with an artist.

Sometimes it just needs to find the right corner of the internet.

Guradian

The early catalog soon expanded beyond individual SoundCloud uploads.

Apple Music lists Guradian as a four-song EP released September 30, 2022. The platform categorizes the release as Dance and credits it to ayice. 

The EP sits alongside singles such as “Empathy!,” “Sedated!,” “Intuition!” and “Compassion!,” giving the 2022 period a more defined shape than a collection of isolated SoundCloud experiments. 

The spelling and presentation of the project also fit the deliberately stylized character of the catalog.

This is music released into an internet environment where capitalization, punctuation, symbols and unusual titles can become part of an artist’s identity just as much as the music itself.

Avalon

The next major milestone is Avalon.

Apple Music lists Avalon as an 11-song album released April 11, 2023, with a total runtime of approximately 24 minutes. 

The album includes songs such as “Black Sheep!,” “Pradise” featuring Kay Kay, “Heartpacing!” featuring Kay Kay, “Cheap Cologne!” and “CherrY BLOSSOM!” 

The project demonstrates that the ayice catalog was already expanding quickly.

Instead of relying exclusively on the short-form SoundCloud single format, the artist was building larger collections of material and developing recurring collaborators and aesthetic motifs.

The SoundCloud account itself also contains material associated with the Avalon period, including “I Feel like a monster,” which was uploaded in October 2022 with a description explaining that the artist had been away for a month while making music and wanted to return with better material. 

From ayice to SEYAIKA

The most interesting part of the project’s public identity is that ayice never completely disappears.

The SoundCloud account continues to identify releases as “seyaika // ayice,” while streaming services maintain an ayice artist catalog and newer distribution pages identify releases simply as seyaika. 

That makes the transition feel less like a clean break and more like an evolution.

The old catalog remains part of the story.

The newer name becomes another chapter.

Rather than pretending the previous identity never existed, the available online material frequently places the two names side by side.

The SoundCloud Archive

Perhaps the best way to understand the evolution is to look at the surviving SoundCloud archive.

A public playlist compiled around the artist’s work contains more than 40 tracks and includes songs ranging from “compassion!” and “empathy!” to “15.,” “devils advocate!,” “solitary/blood,” “isolated!,” “glittr!,” “satori!” and “lose my mind!” 

Some of these tracks have accumulated thousands or tens of thousands of plays.

“empathy!” is listed at more than 44,000 plays in that playlist, while “glittr!” is listed at more than 21,000 and “isolated!” at more than 19,000. 

The numbers aren’t enormous by mainstream standards.

But that is precisely what makes the catalog interesting.

This is an artist whose development can be watched almost piece by piece.

Aesthetic Experimentation

The titles alone tell part of the story.

Japanese characters.

Symbols.

Emojis.

Lowercase phrases.

Multiple punctuation marks.

Stylized typography.

This isn’t simply a catalog of conventionally titled pop songs.

The presentation is part of the experience.

The visual language of the internet is embedded directly into the music’s metadata.

The Music Gets Darker

The later SoundCloud material also shows a willingness to use deliberately provocative and violent imagery.

One 2025 upload is titled “i killed my ex gf,” while another is called “Dancing with her skin on.” 

Importantly, song titles and lyrics should not automatically be treated as literal autobiographical statements.

The public pages establish that these songs exist; they do not establish that the events described literally happened.

“Dancing with her skin on,” for example, contains lyrics centered around separation, loneliness, relationships and drugs, but that doesn’t provide evidence for assuming the narrator and artist are identical. 

That ambiguity is common in underground music, particularly within internet-native scenes where exaggerated imagery, fictional characters and emotional confession can exist beside one another.

#Freak Boy.+

The catalog continued into 2025 with #Freak Boy.+.

Apple Music currently lists the album under ayice and dates it to 2025. The same catalog includes several singles from the period, including “new love,” “parasite,” “compassion slo” and “dramma queen sped.” 

This is one of the clearest signs that the ayice/SEYAIKA project wasn’t simply a short-lived SoundCloud experiment.

The releases continued.

The name remained active.

And the catalog kept expanding.

2026: The Name Keeps Moving

The most recent streaming information shows the project continuing into 2026.

Apple Music currently lists “izanami // イザナミ(i could tell you)･:*:･ﾟ★” as a January 5, 2026 release under ayice, alongside other 2026 singles including “setsunai,” “ZXMBIE!” and “FXBULOUS.” 

At the same time, SEYAIKA appears as a credited artist on several 2026 releases by Yung AR.

Apple Music lists:

“I Think I Luv U”

“Rubberband Man”

“Final Fantasy”

“Margiela Dummies”

with SEYAIKA credited on the relevant Yung AR releases. 

Final Fantasy was released May 24, 2026, according to Apple Music. 

That gives the project a notable distinction from its earliest days.

The music isn’t only appearing through the artist’s own catalog anymore.

SEYAIKA is also appearing inside other artists’ releases.

The Underground Audience

The SoundCloud pages also provide small glimpses into the community surrounding the music.

Comments on later uploads include listeners asking for songs to be restored, requesting music on Spotify, discussing possible collaborations and comparing the artist with other underground musicians. 

On “i killed my ex gf,” for example, commenters describe the song enthusiastically and debate the artist’s position within the underground scene. 

This isn’t enough to establish a precise fanbase size or popularity ranking.

But it does demonstrate something more important:

people are paying attention.

What Makes SEYAIKA Interesting?

The internet doesn’t currently provide enough reliable biographical information to construct a conventional celebrity profile.

There is no enormous Wikipedia page.

There isn’t a massive archive of interviews.

There aren’t dozens of established music publications documenting every stage of the career.

Instead, there is a trail.

A SoundCloud account.

A growing streaming catalog.

Old releases.

New aliases.

Fan comments.

Collaborations.

Projects.

Songs that disappear and songs that return.

And that may actually be the most appropriate way to understand SEYAIKA.

The project feels native to the same internet culture that helped create it.

It doesn’t have to arrive fully explained.

It can be discovered.

Ayice Isn’t Gone

Perhaps the most interesting conclusion is that ayice and SEYAIKA don’t appear to represent two completely separate artists in the publicly available music ecosystem.

The SoundCloud account literally continues using “seyaika // ayice.” 

Streaming services continue carrying the older ayice catalog while newer releases use seyaika. 

The old songs remain available as artifacts of the project’s earlier period.

The new material keeps pushing forward.

Instead of an erasure, the transition looks more like a layered identity.

Ayice is the archive.

SEYAIKA is the continuation.

And the distance between the two is where the story gets interesting.

The Story Is Still Being Written

SEYAIKA’s publicly documented career is still young.

The earliest readily accessible releases date to 2022.

Guradian arrived that year.

Avalon followed in 2023.

More SoundCloud experimentation appeared throughout 2024 and 2025.

#Freak Boy.+ arrived in 2025.

And by 2026, the name was appearing on multiple collaborations while new solo material continued to surface. 

There is no reason to assume the catalog has reached a final form.

If anything, the public record suggests the opposite.

The project keeps changing names, sounds, aesthetics and formats.

And perhaps that is the defining characteristic of SEYAIKA/ayice:

not a finished artist, but an evolving archive.

An artist whose history is being documented in real time, one upload, one release and one strange little SoundCloud title at a time.
