Sorry for the repost, just some very quick fixes. Anyway, here's a quick Hsumoore redraw
I'm so excited for the new FNV remaster but if they remove any of the queer rep Istg
Soon...
I need this
Joshua Graham and Daniel are evil.
Just hear me out on this; Graham is a war criminal who was Caesar's right hand man. He almost definitely committed atrocities and led to the deaths of hundreds. He doesn't instantly become a good person because he repented
As for Daniel, while he doesn't have associations with the Legion like Graham did, he still isn't a good person. For him I'd more focus on how he treats the Sorrows. While he doesn't harm them, he very obviously is trying to get rid of their culture.
I don't really know why some people act like they're saints — especially Graham — just because they're religious. I of course don't think that all religious people are bad or anything, but being religious doesn't automatically make you a good person.

I’m paying to force seven thousand strangers to see a photo of my late husband having fun with his dog. Tumblr Blaze is totally worth it. XD
One of the things I like best about Fallout is how progressive at least in terms of representation it is. Take fallout 2, which released in 1998; both the leader of the Followers — Nicole — and the leader of the NCR — Tandi — were women, Tandi being WOC while also being the best and longest serving leader of the NCR is also really important to me. It also had same-sex before any real country. In practically all of the morally good factions men and women are seen as equal, and pretty much throughout the whole series, racism as we experience it isn't a thing, with the exception of the discrimination faced by tribals, though even that feels more xenophobic than racist. While mutants do face discrimination based on their race that is portrayed be as a very bad thing throughout the series. Also, while homophobia still seems to be a thing it seems to be much less common and institutionalized.
General Oliver feels like the kind of guy to have a wife and kids and use Grindr. He is a trade and also an adulterer with internalized Homophobia and no one can change my mind
With a more European style of governance, where the NCR council elects a president, and not the people, but the NCR's political system also being a no-party democratic system, I imagine electing a President is a little like trying to elect a new Pope.
Those councillors are probably in there for weeks and months arguing about who should be the next president. No popular party or party consensus, just elected councillors who each have their own set of political agendas.
You just know it's a mess in there.
I don't think there would be formal parties but I can imagine groups that vote similarly would be formed; (e.g Kimball aligned expansionists, and Tandi aligned moderates

Captain Curtis joins the NCR and turns his back on the Legion's HOMOPHOBIC ways (GONE WRONG) (POLICE CALLED)
I find it cool that the two most famous characters from Fallout New Vegas are: dead wife war criminal, and left in the oven too long war criminal
HELLO?????????
A bit late but, happy NAIDOC week! Be deadly
I wonder if Oliver could ever become a politician. In the NCR ending he does receive quite a lot of the credit (Which is definitely not deserved). He could try and copy Kimball's path of General → Congressperson → president. Imagine how terrible an Oliver presidency would be; he's literally just Kimball but without any intelligence or strategy. I don't think anyone under his command would vote for him.

if you are a child or teen on this platform you may get valuable information from heeding these words:
avoid the big fish in this pond. do not seek to become one. avoid the fandom aunts, the "big name fans", the One Discord Server.
consider that how someone treats the people they despise and whether you're brave enough to disagree with them, should they turn that conduct on you. and if it requires a significant amount of bravery to think about telling them they've been a bastard, you may want to reconsider being in that relationship.
there will be people on here who will suicide bait you for being happy. they are very sad people and it is not your job nor your responsibility to engage with them. it's up to them to decide to do differently.
try to decouple your sense of self-worth from metrics. the number can never go up enough. i have a project that's >90% positive feedback and over 200,000 downloads and that does nothing for me on my day to day. it's nice if other people like the thing, but it's worth examining why you're creating and sharing in the first place and figuring out what you actually want.
do not treat the dsm like a holy text that must never be questioned
do not go in on sexual or gender identity based taxonomics
do not be cruel to people you deem lesser than you
remember that you can practice and improve pretty much any skill, and there's no such thing as unskilled labour
See the thing about the whole Claude AI exposing document thing is that as great as it sounds in theory, I can see how this leads to even more harassment and witch hunts in practice.
People have said the tag is unique to Claude only and therefore there’s no way a human-made fic could have gotten wrongly flagged as AI. But how accurate and trustworthy worthy this is, really? Even IF, hypothetically, this method is proved correct 99 times out of 100, that still means “there is 1 time out of 100 times where a human-made fic is wrongly flagged as AI due to an error”. And that to me nullified the credibility of the whole doc. Like, sorry for not trusting another newly-introduced machine and for being skeptical about it.
“But how could the tag get there if the author didn’t use AI?” Besides the possibility of an error, I can already see people weaponize this method by faking screenshots of fics that are about the ships or topics that they hate to make it look like these fics have Claude tag in them, and then spreading those fake screenshots around. And the worst part is that authors cannot prove their innocence because people would just say “they got caught so now they removed the Claude tag from their fics”.
Like. I hate AI, but I hate witch hunts, accusations and harassments more.
These comments below sum it up really well.
It's very telling that people will argue to hell and back against any and all possible flaws of this thing because this AI detector is 100% totally infallible this time trust me bro, but every single "flaw" in a fic that has been sern in AI texts MUST mean the writer was 100% totally using AI to write this trust me bro.
Almost like the people who claim they want to avoid actually want the opposite. They spend so much time and effort to try to detect AI that they could be spending reading because... idk actually. Maybe it's another weird purity thing where you're eternally tainted by seeing something "bad." Maybe they're addicted to the rush of feeling morally superior for five seconds on the internet and have discovered a new way to fill that hole.
It's so painfully clear that they want to find as much AI as possible for some reason. These are not people engaging with fandom for fun, they're here to destroy.
And if you, dear reader, engage in this behavior and for some reason genuinely believe you're doing a good thing, take a step back and take a good hard look at why you're more preoccupied with detecting perceived AI to the point of driving the actual real creators you claim you want to protect out of fandom, instead of investing all that effort into supporting those creators.
