When you realized as you have actually learned what a healthy relationship was, and thats now is what you extremely and only ship.

Because as a preteen till about 15-16, I thought the bullys/victims, extreme age differences with like a teenager and an adult, possessive partners and other shit was like totally cool, mainly because of fanfictions/ fiction on websites, but then as I grew up and my morals actually developed healthily {mainly because of shows like Steven Universe and also because I watched how unhappy or unhealthy some relationships were around me or what I heard about} I realized that it wasn’t okay for these things to be in a relationship.

I realized a healthy relationship is where one partner helps another one grows and they work together. Yes, they hit patches but they work through them. One doesn’t dominate the whole relationship and the other meekily accepts. They don’t compromise, they work together to find a solution that both of them get what they want. They don’t hold each other back but help each other reach their own goals.

Alright if you have not seen Pizza Party or the Tavern at the end of the multi-verse then do not read this post.

So just to recap… THINGS JUST GOT REAL Y'ALL! Turns out the evil mastermind was none other than Moon Butterfly. I’m not gonna lie this was the jaw drop of the century! Not only did she betray Eclipsa she but put the lives of innocents in jeopardy and even betrayed her daughter. She trusted Mina a lunatic over trusting Eclipsa just because she accidentally attacked her which she was valid for the accident because Moon was gonna kill her daughter just as Eclipsa was getting through to her. Let’s be honest now Moon was supposed to be smarter than that I’m so disappointed in her. I don’t even care if she cries she deserves Star being mad at her. 

But out of all the people who have the most valid reason to hate her Eclipsa doesn’t any grudges towards them. In fact she the first one to cheer her up and tries to stop the dog man from reminding her what she’s done. Moon (including myself) was surprised and how she could act like this in a situation like this while she remarks “my life has been always a situation like this”, because saying “same shit different day”, brushing it off. Not only that but she points out the good in Moon’s betray with the fact that it helped bring her husband back to her. Despite this, I feel like there’s more of a reason why Eclipsa behaves like this and we can find that answer in Solaria, her mother. 

If you have read the “Magic Book of Spell” you’re well aware that Solaria started the war on monsters and has a deep hatred for the monsters which is invalid. In the book, she would describe various ways that she would destroy them and says they’re the lowest scums of the earth. Even if you didn’t read the book we get a glimpse of who she was back then and she basically called upon a war the people of Mewni didn’t ask for. They really didn’t care and wonder if she was going to do queen stuff instead of attacking monsters… This was a woman who breathed hatred took it out on the wrong people the monsters. Though I think the most dangerous thing about her rage was that Solaria thought she was delivering justice.

The only saving grace I thought she has was her love for daughter Eclipsa and would write about how she adored her. That may have been the case back then but look at how Eclipsa addresses her now. Eclipsa doesn’t reveal that Solaria was her mother until Janna asks about who she was. She clearly did love her mother since she mentioned her when she first spoke to Moon and teared up about her death. However, when she talks about her as Queen Solaria she does not associate “Queen Solaria” as her mother… why is that? The reason why is because she saw them as two different people; her mother and Queen Solaria who was a monster. That rage took her mother away from her and replaced it with Solaria the monster craver. 

Eclipsa probably knew this better than anyone, heck even as a baby she had front row seats of her killing monsters and how vile she was. In a sense, it was what unjust furry that took away her mother. Which leads to the true force of evil in the series hatred. Hatred is the true force of evil in this world (in the series) it’s what motivates humanity to kill and segregated from our fellow man, it is what allows us to justify our heinous action and probably is the most dangerous force out there. Solaria has done her part in breeding it for centuries and Eclipsa tried to break the will of hate, the cycle that Solaria created.  

That’s why Eclipsa chooses to be the total opposite of her mother because she saw what Solaria was and did not want to be like her. That probably why she choose to mingle with monster because it’s the total opposite of what her mother does. She wants to understand them and in the end, she fell in love with one Globgor. Not only that she chooses not to carry hate within her heart and is patience despite what people may say about her or how people treat her. No matter how justified she may be to hate them back and follow her mother.

I think that’s the message Star vs the Forces of Evil trying to tell us, breathing hate just breeds more of it and if you don’t want that don’t preach it… If you don’t believe me listen to pony heads speech when Star was fighting the Solarian Soldier. “Girl don’t let that monster win, she is filled with hate but you… you need to look around your surrounded by love, you’ve got a big heart…” It is echoed through Star because in a sense she represents the younger generation giving a chance to the misunderstood which is echoed in (Eclipsa). Which is why Moon represents the older generation where the hatred and prejudice has been passed down through Queen Soloria. And now it all ends with Star…
