To find her family. Remember how she wanted that? And it was? Forgotten? Completely?

To overcome her trauma

That her arc and development wasn't completely thrown out so she'd end up with an abuser who literally tried to murder her on muliple occasions, tried to destroy the entire planet out of spite for Adora which resulted in the death of Adora's friend's mother, and kidnapped and/or tortured Adora and her friends on multiple occasions, but it was all swept under the rug because said abuser was the crew's favourite

Again, for Adora's arc to not have been shoved aside for Ca*ra's. For the main character's arc to not have been pushed aside for her abuser's happy ending

For Adora's scars to heal, especially any scratch marks, especially those large ones on her back. You know, the ones given to her by the person she ended up with?

Adora, holding a book at arm’s length & squinting: No they’re right over there

Glimmer: Then why aren’t you wearing them. You know squinting just gives you a headache

Glimmer: What? No they don’t! *shoves the glasses on Adora’s face and teleports them in front of a mirror* Here look! Beautiful!!

Every writer inevitably gets to that scene that just doesn't want to work. It doesn't flow, no matter how hard you try. Well, here are some things to try to get out of that rut:

1. Change the weather

I know this doesn't sound like it'll make much of a difference, but trust me when I say it does.

Every single time I've tried this, it worked and the scene flowed magically.

2. Change the POV

If your book has multiple POV characters, it might be a good idea to switch the scene to another character's perspective.

9/10 times, this will make the scene flow better.

3. Start the scene earlier/later

Oftentimes, a scene just doesn't work because you're not starting in the right place.

Perhaps you're starting too late and giving too little context. Perhaps some description or character introspection is needed before you dive in.

Alternatively, you may be taking too long to get to the actual point of the scene. Would it help to dive straight into the action without much ado?

4. Write only the dialogue

If your scene involves dialogue, it can help immensely to write only the spoken words the first time round.

It's even better if you highlight different characters' speech in different colors.

Then, later on, you can go back and fill in the dialogue tags, description etc.

5. Fuck it and use a placeholder

If nothing works, it's time to move on.

Rather than perpetually getting stuck on that one scene, use a placeholder. Something like: [they escape somehow] or [big emotional talk].

And then continue with the draft.

This'll help you keep momentum and, maybe, make the scene easier to write later on once you have a better grasp on the plot and characters.

Trust me, I do this all the time.

It can take some practice to get past your Type A brain screaming at you, but it's worth it.

So, those are some things to try when a scene is being difficult. I hope that these tips help :)

I feel like most of the characters treat Entrapta really badly.We always talk about how much Hordak cares about Entrapta and what a good friend Scorpia was.Which they were awesome!But we never talk about Adora.And we should.Let talk about a few good moments.

This one up here is a really big deal.It’s disappointing that no one seems to care about Entrapta as a person not just a tool except Adora.It really shows how different Adora’s views are from the rest of the group.She genuinely cares about everyone.Inculding Entrapta.

Then we see her be the only one to ask if Entrapta is okay when seeing Entrapta on Beast Island.

In season 5 Adora is precious.When Entrapta “goes missing” and Bow has a mini meltdown.Adora trusts Entrapta.She just gives Entrapta a rope to use and doesn’t bother Entrapta about it.Even when Entrapta is floating in space she’s just like “Oh that’s what the rope was for!”.Completely unfazed because she know Entrapta is a competent adult.

Then there’s this little underated moment.It might not seem like much but it is.She is smiling at Entrapta’s happiness.She not irritated or off put she’s just like ‘Yup that’s Entrapta being Entrapta!Happy to see her happy!’.

My headcanon for why Adora is so kind to Entrapta is because she’s probably nuerodivergent too.Adora seems like an ADHDer.So she is probably much more understanding towards Entrapta’s struggles because she gets it.
