I was happy to have made it out this past weekend to participate in the Tahoe Rim Trail 100 Mile Endurance Run, yet I didn’t foresee the altitude sickness that would be the monkey on my back. I had put in effortless work after so much that I had gone through this year and to my surprise, it had gotten me where I needed to be. My legs were actually great for the distance covered, yet the altitude was not going to let me win this time. Perhaps I could have stuck around at the aid stations a bit longer, perhaps I could have figured out more solutions to resolve my problem, however, the stomach sickness took a long while to dissolve until I was finally able to eat. As always, it’s fun to be out on the trails despite the shitty feeling. The volunteers were great and especially in tending to the runners needs, the race director always puts up a great race in one of the most beautiful places in the world, and a lot of the runners and people on the trails were absolutely wonderful. Also, thank you @merrell for your support in giving me an entry to this race and the gear suitable for this event!
