For everybody refusing to support or vote for Hillary Clinton because she is "just as bad" as Donald Trump, including my friends and family members, I have this to say...

It's not true.

Only one of the candidates acknowledges that climate change is real and humans have an impact.  The other has claimed it's a hoax created by the Chinese.

Only one of the candidates has fought to end segregation in schools.  The other fought to keep black people out of his condos and built his campaign on a foundation of racism and bigotry.

Only one of the candidates has fought for the rights of immigrants.  The other has insulted immigrants and suggested banning huge groups of people.

Only one of the candidates recognizes that people have the right to make choices about their own bodies.  The other thinks he can grab whatever body parts he wants, because he is rich and famous.

Only one of the candidates has carried out a thoughtful issues-based campaign.  The other has run a campaign based on fear, hatred, ignorance, and magical thinking.

Only one of the candidates has a long record of public service, showing intelligence and the ability to work with many parties to accomplish goals.  The other has a long history of self-enrichment at the expense of others.

So, to those people who say they won't vote for Hillary Clinton… to those people who defame her, sharing propaganda from the Republican Party, the NRA, and other nonsensical fringe websites, I have this to say…

When the planet burns, and millions die in ecological disaster, I will hold you accountable.

When my friends who are gay, black, latino, or muslim are treated as second-class citizens, I will hold you accountable.  Likewise, if a time comes when I have to suffer for my Jewish heritage.

When this country ends its long history of welcoming tired, poor, huddled masses yearning to breathe free, I will hold you accountable.  And I will hold you accountable when other countries reciprocate, forbidding me and other Americans emigrate, should we choose to.

When women lose the right to control their own bodies, being told by mostly rich, white men what medical procedures they are allowed, I will hold you accountable.

When we return to recession, or even depression, brought on by a fanatical obsession with trickle-down economics and deregulation, I will hold you accountable.

When the White House becomes merely another feather in an egomaniacal, racist, self-indulgent, lunatic's cap, I will hold you accountable.

Wake up.  If you are seeking perfection, get over it.  We have never had a perfect president.  We have also never had a clearer distinction between candidates.

Hillary Clinton has been endorsed by Barack Obama, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, the Human Rights Campaign, the Brady Campaign, the Sierra Club, Planned Parenthood, every major news organization in the U.S., and almost every labor union in the U.S.

Donald Trump has been endorsed by Vladimir Putin, Dick Cheney, David Duke, the government of North Korea, the NRA, the American Nazi Party, and the KKK.

Whose side are you on?
