Just to be clear, you can kinda medically experiment on any children against their will if their parents are ok with it, it's just that doing it to intersex children enforces the sex binary so parents are more ok with it, and if it challenges the sex binary at all (like doing medical research on "cross sex" hrt on children) it will be reacted to with outrage. Medical experimentation on children is a child rights issue, that often intersects with intersex rights. But like, you don't need the child's consent to do vaccine reviews, to test new medications for children, to test restrictive diets on children, it's the parents who decide in any case. And for a trans intersex child, that means that they may have their body irrevocably changed against their will as children and be unable to pursue transition the same way a perisex trans person would as adults (can't really get bottom growth on T if you had a phallus surgically removed as an infant, can't really get breast growth on e if you were forced to get a double mastectomy at 14 etc) the medical enforcement of sex characteristics is done to enforce the legal sex, you know?
