Izzy Hands in Our Flag Means Death, season 2 episode 3
I realized I never made any sort of formal announcement of this, but I'm done with this blog. I started it because I noticed a persistent issue in the fandom when it comes to tagging stuff about Izzy, and I wanted to create a safe space for people to find Izzy-centric fics and be assured that he wouldn't be unceremoniously killed off, or sexually assaulted without warning, or any of the other things that have made trying to find fics about Izzy into a minefield. Unfortunately, I'm not in a place to be the one to do that, and I've actually given up on reading ofmd fics entirely.
If anyone is interested in taking over, you can message me @arborescentarecaceae and we can talk about it. Otherwise, you can consider this blog abandoned for now.

I'm looking for a fic where Edward and Izzy are married but Edward is gay and doesn't know Izzy is transgender. He thinks he's married to a woman and then Izzy tells him the truth and Ed is glad. Does anyone happen to know. I found it on Ao3 but can't find it anymore.

When Ed meets Stede Bonnet, his first impression is that the guy is interesting—handsome, wealthy, lots of opinions about grapes. So Ed keeps nodding and smiling and asking questions, and Stede keeps talking and gesturing and even leaning into the little touches Ed risks after a few glasses of delicious, extravagant wine. Pretty quickly, Ed realizes that the guy is too charming for his own good, full of compliments and always ready to pour another taste.
Later, when Ed presses him against a wall of barrels, swallows his moans while he gets his hands all over him, Ed knows—Izzy is gonna fucking love this guy.

Izzy Hands thought his life was ending when Blackbeard banished him. With no ship and no captain to serve, he was ready to just drink his misery away. Then he met with Sam Bellamy who offered him a chance to sail with The Last Voyage as his first mate.

Overall it's a sweet, romantic fic with some moments of angst; Izzy gets kidnapped twice but Sam saves him both times, and they end up happy together. Ed and Stede appear as villains in the final chapters and things don't work out so well for them (there's a fair amount of violence towards them and it's implied but not explicitly stated that they're going to be executed).
