The other night husband and I were watching a documentary about the yeti where they were doing DNA analysis of samples of supposed yeti fur, and every one of them came back as bears.
Anyway, the next night we watched a thing about some pig man who is supposed to live in Vermont. People said it had claws and a pig nose but walked upright like a man. Now, I happen to know that sideshows used to shave bears and present them as pig men. So every piece of evidence they gave of this monster sounds to me like a bear with mange.
So now the running joke in our house is that everything is bears. Aliens? Bears. Loch Ness monster? Bear. Every cryptozoological mystery is just a very crafty bear.
Bears. They’re everywhere. Be wary. Anyone or anything could be a bear.

"Steve, do me a favor and keep Alan busy at the bar for a few hours, will ya?" John asks. Steve doesn't like it, but being a friend he reluctantly agrees.
Steve takes Alan to the bar and starts asking him all sorts of questions to keep him occupied. Finally, Alan gets annoyed and asks Steve what's going on.

Yeah, the thing that caught my eye was "no grits." I know not all Black people can possibly like grits (Not A Monolith, etc.), but almost every time I talk big meals with a Black person, grits come up. They're a southern staple.
Meanwhile, I'm offended by the lack of fruit.

I will however drink that milk till the cows come home and will occasionally eat bacon when dining out if it is not too crispy. It is the only pork I can remotely tolerate. Still mad that I don't like eggs. I have tried so many kinds.
Admittedly most mornings I am either doing bagel, toaster waffle, or oatmeal. Once in a while Cheerios with bananas. And i eat a banana after getting in to work so i don't get hungry before my morning break.
Instead of French toast or waffles they put French fries, which is the stupidest thing I can imagine. French fries are breakfast if you're four years old and firmly believe all meals should be French fries.
Or if you have some leftover fries in the fridge and you're still tired and don't feel like actually trying that morning.
Well, yeah, but by that argument cold pizza should be on there too.
@prismatic-bell Hi, Australian here! And: NO. Home Fries (Grits), Biscuits & Cinnamon Swirl are *EXPLICITLY AMERICAN* Breakfast Foods. No-one else in the world eats those. Maybe 'White American' was the wrong wording by @horreurscopes but it wasn't *technically* incorrect
