Craving soft touches Recalling your sweet taste Dreaming of deep kisses Light tugs on my hair Pulling you in closer Smiling against sly lips Distance is the enemy Time tortures the mind Strong yearning penetrates Ready for our swift reunion

Watching you take another one down Seeing your face hide the inside burn Waves of pleasure morphs your features Satisfaction quickly fades to craving more Watching you take another one down Smiling at me with your eyes closed Inebriation starts to take it's hold Starring into my full glass, sighing softly Watching you take another one down Stumbling my way, forcing me up Pressing your chest against my back Kissing my neck, groping my breast Watching you take another one down Eye lids fall and deep breaths escape Letting you have your way again Ignoring my lack of interest again Watching you take another one down “Take it slow, maybe you're good now.” Easy eyes quickly break into a scowl Approaching me with beastly intent Watching you take another one down Harsh words bleed into the stiff air Smell of whiskey engulfs my senses Your hearing dims to nonexistent Watching you take another one down Attempting a retreat from this altercation Grabbing my arm, falling to the floor Wondering if we were ever in love before Watching you take me down Screaming till words have no meaning Tears that slide on cheeks once rosy Though on the ground, couldn't feel much lower (This poem was written by me on 05/10/10)

Relief transforms to reality

Having trouble breathing in The air feels like daggers in my lungs Cold and empty are my body No sweater or blanket can bring back warmth Eyes puffed up like two red balloons As if tears can turn back time Memories burdening the brain Making my head ache and throb A yearning like none I've ever known Screaming to the Gods for this gaping hole inside Hastily, I wipe my salty face And return to the duties at hand

Too hungover to be shopping, yet here I am.

When I come home to find out my man has cleaned the house, made dinner, and brings me a glass of wine.

How I vacuum when no one is home.
