Stranger things finale spoilers‼️
Im mad as FUCK right now. So, instead of sleeping I’m going to list all the problems I had, and all the things I liked. (Not in order tho)
So, you’re telling me they forgot about Joyce this whole season?
I mean, I felt like KALI literally did more in the last episode than Joyce has done this WHOLE season.
Then they tried to make it seem like she was badass when she was ‘killing’ Henry but I honestly just felt annoyed and a little bit embarrassed…
Don’t get me wrong I love Joyce but I forgot she was even with Will and the others.
Don’t even get me started.
Now i’m going to start by saying I don’t blame him for getting tricked into breaking the tank. I mean, Henry tricked me too.
BUT, that doesn’t excuse how he went on a WHOLE AS RANT literally having a whole ass intervention AFTER he got tricked into fucking up the plan. What really pissed me off is how STUPID he was.
Saying that he wasn’t going to detonate the bomb (RISKING EVERYONE LIVES BTW) just because El wouldn’t make a promise not to kill herself AFTER she saves the world???
THEN he goes into only saving El when the military was after them KNOWING KALI WAS IMPORTANT TO THE PLAN!! ‘oh but his hands were full’ HE HAS A BACK FOR A REASON, SLING THAT GUN ON YOUR BACK AND SAVE THE ONLY TWO PEOPLE THAT GIVES US A CHANCE!!!
The they tried to make it seem like it was ok my giving and Joyce a proposal scene… GET THE FUCK OUT MY FACE
Ok.. so.. What the fuck happened?
One thing that absolutely made me HEATED was seeing that ‘18 months later’ text pop up on my screen.
I feel like that left SO many questions unanswered…
Like what happened to the grey haired lady?? Was Max, Erica, Mr. Clarke, and the others just in custody? What did the military do to the group? WHAT HAPPENED TO MR. CLARKE??? WHAT HAPPENED TO VIKI??? How did the group react to El’s death? WHAT HAPPENED TO THE LEFT OVERS OF THE MINDFLYER WHEN THE KIDS SPAT IT OUT? DID IT JUST… DIE???? Instead of feeling complete I’m left with endless questions with literally NO ANSWERS. Didn’t we learn that time skips SUCK?? then we had 40 minutes of this happy ass BULLSHIT AFTER I SEE EL GET SLIMED OUT!!!
And I cannot emphasize enough how unfulfilling that last hour of straight FILLER was… It only left me mad ass hell, irritated as fuck, and tires as shit.
I was expecting to be sad, I was expecting more death, and gore, and horror but I was left confused and more mad than sad. I mean yeah I’m happy the mindflyer was brought up and ended up being important but Duffer brother was to busy doing death fake outs then actually filling in plot wholes.
And I cannot stress to you how MUCH I hate it when characters get random love interests at the end, LIKE WHO IS THIS RANDOM?? (I’m not even a byler shipper) Seeing everyone happy after watching El supposedly die drove me up a WALL.
When I started the episode I was anxious, especially when they kept doing death fake outs (which I’ll get to later)
Now, did the finale live up to all the advertising and hype online?
They over hyped it like the cast was going to get DESTROYED. And I mean yes that’s the whole point of advertising but hyping it up like that made people have high hope. The whole season did not live up the hype and it just left me honestly disappointed.
For example, All that potential to make it seem like the Mindflyer was controlling Henry AND WILL (which would have been a CRAZY PLOT TWIST) has gone to waste. I’ve seen better theory’s than this.
Instead of focusing on things that were actually important, they were too busy doing death fake outs and having small side conversations in the middle of a BATTLEFIELD. THEN ONLY TWO PEOPLE ENDED UP DYING?? WHERES ALL THE ANGST AT?
Now yes the hype was a key part in my disappointment…
But it did make the last episode more suspenseful. The whole time I was shaking in excitement and fear. I would like to say how SCARED I was when Steve almost fell off the tower.
It also almost made me tear up when both Jonathan saved Steve and when they casted their differences aside and kinda became friends.
(Yes I am a Stonathan shipper how did you know?)
When I tell you I almost DIED when I figured out Eleven was really dead.
First, I never thought Kali was a traitor, Second, that was INSANE, the attention to detail (El using her powers even though they were playing the krytonight) made me almost pass out. It was VERY well done.
I loved how kinda scary the Hopper vs Henry scene was.
Not only did it fool the character but it also fooled the viewers into thinking Hopper shot Eleven. THEN THEY THREW A CURVE BALL. When I tell you I couldn’t even blame Hopper if I tried bc man I thought El was DEAD. My jaw was in the FLOOR when I found out he not only didn’t shoot her but Henry ALSO made Hopper single handedly mess up the plan. It was scary, it was suspenseful, it was shocking, it was beautiful. It reminded me of the horror aspects in the early seasons. And that brought a smile to my face.
Now, yes the ending made me mad, but it was good to see the group all playing DnD.
Not only did they drop that BOMB on us, we also got to see one of (if the the most) best scenes this season.
And that is seeing Derek, Holly, and the rest of the kids resemble the group when they were young. That scene was the only scene to almost bring a tear to my eye.
Seeing more Lumax scenes made me smile.
We got Stonathan, Ronance, Jancy, Lumax, Milleven, Jopper AND SOME BYLER SCENES. I can’t wait to see all the edits and fanart the internet will cook up- ESPECIALLY STONATHAN AND STEDDIE🤤 (I also can’t wait for all the fanfics I’m going to have to binge read 👀👀)

AND HOW FAR HIM AND JONATHANS RELATIONSHIP CAME??? omg I love to see it.
I will never shut up about those two or ANY of the teens for that matter.
I love all of them and seeing them get along was all I needed.
