fuck it at this point if i cant get ny hands on estrogen or hrt or anything like that im just gonna fursuit/mrs doubtfire that shit and givd myself hips and boobs with foam
I watched Mrs. Doubtfire yesterday for the first time and I was actually very pleasantly surprised. I had assumed the parents would get back together at the end because that's how these things usually work, and I was SO glad they didn't, and that the dad doesn't just get given his parental rights fully back at the end because tbh was not deserved at all. Consequences for actions and all that. The mother's life got instantly better once he left and I was so happy for her. And then she starts dating that guy and I absolutely thought he was going to turn out to be the bad guy, and one point he was speaking with a friend about how he never showed interest in kids before. And I expected that to be the moment he reveals how he hates kids and plans to ship them off to boarding school never to be seen again etc etc... except that's *not* what he said at all. And he clearly is so good in that family and I hope they do end up staying together. And it was really touching at the end how on that TV program, Euphagenia gets that letter from the girl with separated parents, and she gives the response about how not all families look the same, and sometimes parents separate and don't always get back together, but that doesn't mean they love their kids any less. Surpassed my expectations by a million.

I watched Mrs doubtdire last night for the first time (Christian parents) and it really struck me how gay this movie is, even though it's not billed as such.
And i don't mean just because he wears a dress. Not even because his brother is in a gay relationship. No what hit me was the ending. If this movie was about a straight couple they would've gotten back together at the end. But they don't. They're still divorced, but the happy ending is he gets to see his kids again. And that was his whole motivation. And just, how many gay or trans people who came out later in life had that exact experience? Of being cut off from their children simply for being themselves.
i can’t do the mrs doubtfire voice and i find that appalling
SUCH a sucker for that movie trope where the main character is living a double life with/lying to a bunch of different people and at the very end of the movie, every character the MC has been screwing over coincidentally ends up being at the same hotel or restaurant or country club or something and looney-tunes-esque chaos ensues where the MC has to desperately try and split their time between 8 different people, keep every single character away from one another, change disguises (if applicable), hide, convince each (usually pretty ticked-off) person that nothing suspicious is going on, and eat like 5 different dinners.
