Okay so I have this theory. Tomorrow will be when A Very Special Episode is gonna air and I bet that we will be seeing Pink Rainbow 2.0 and Pink Sunstone, since we got Pink Smoky (I feel they are gonna find a way to be at two places at once, perhaps teleportation via pink ability?). Whatever is confirmed in that episode about their pink abilities I will add on this post later.

All we can do now in the moment is look at at Smoky Quartz. And Steg.

Yes, Steg I believe was the very first appearance of this Pink ability Steven possesses in the new series, we just didn’t know it at the time. 

It has the same aura like effect (though it was a lot less intense doesnt sprout the extremely saturated pink that it usually does when it has full power)

I’ve been very much bothered by the way that the writing team for Miraculous Ladybug has been handling powers for a long time now. It might not be as frustrating or offensive as how they sometimes treat the characters and their relationships, but it BOTHERS me. Because it doesn’t make sense that Adults are more powerful than kids just by the grace of being an adult if the magic comes from a kwami and the jewelry and as such the age of the wearer shouldn’t matter as much. And objectively speaking, there as several ‘minor’ miraculouses that seem WAY more powerful than the two that are supposed to be the most coveted, the Ladybug and Chat Noir miraculouses. Also both the addition of the potions AND the distinctions given to some of the miraculouses/kwamis (Such as Pollen being the ‘Kwami of Subjugation’) are just… ODD. So a while back I sat down and charted out a way to ‘fix’ the powers in Miraculous Ladybug, much like I’ve seen others fix plots and characters.

More Clearly based on Yin/Yang, Wu Xing, and the Zodiacs

I can’t tell you how much it annoys me that Astruc clearly chose these Chinese motifs for the aesthetic, and didn’t bother researching or properly applying any of the theology attached to them to his show. Ladybug and Chat Noir SHOULD be equal, and balance one another out, but they’re not. Instead, Ladybug gets way more power and importance than Chat Noir does. And the Wu Xing Cycle is an important one too, because that’s nature holding itself in check. 

The Wu Xing has four different cycles attached to it; the Creation Cycle, the Destruction Cycle, the Insult Cycle, and the Controlling Cycle. It could have been interesting to lean into this, so that pairing two miraculous heroes together can lead to new powers being unlocked, depending on the two in question, and that if a  Hawkmoth happens, there are two heroes other than Ladybug and Chat who’d be able to step up and confront him.

New Stations/Distinctions for the Kwamis

It bothers me that the distinctions chosen for the Kwami feel extremely random, and don’t fit together at all. Nooroo is “Generosity”, Trixx is “Deception”, Pollen is “Subjugation”, Wayzz is “Protection”, and Duusuu is “Emotion.” Like, on their own these are fine. But none of them really relate to one another in a way that makes sense, which the Wu Xing SHOULD. As much as it annoys me, I can sorta understand why it would be a bad idea to attach the specific elements themselves to each Miraculous, because then people will expect the powers of that miraculous to relate to that element, which is very limiting. The Wu Xing is about much more than just nature and the elements. It’s also used to reference the passing of time, physical parts of the body, emotions, cardinal directions and so much more. 

But I still feel that the Distinctions for each Kwami and their powers should be presented in a what where it makes sense to see them relating to one another. One way I’ve suggested for people to do this is to include Ladybug and Chat in the consideration and base each of the Kwamis off of one of the Seven Chakras. But another way I like much better is to consider the kwamis in relation to what area their abilities will affect. For Example; Fox- Mind (Wood) Bee- Energy (Fire) Turtle- Body (Earth) Peacock- Soul (Metal) Butterfly- Heart (Water)

These are things you can tell at a glance relate to one another, without limiting the kwamis too much to being one trick ponies. And speaking of limits…

Limits are based on internal balance, not age

In an effort to make the sage figure that is supposed to be Fu NOT look like he has sand for brains and decided it’d be a good idea to give his chosen heroes a massive handicap against the villain right out of the gate, we’re going to change up the limiter for the Miraculouses. Rather than being based on age, the thing that determines how well you use a miraculous is your affiliation with the element/distinction that the Miraculous represents. Let’s use Kim as an example here. He’s very energetic and driven, so he’d have a great time with either the Bee or the Turtle, but give him the Peacock, the Butterfly, or the Fox, and things will get a hell of a lot harder for him. On the exact flip side, Juleka would be great with the Peacock, Butterfly, or Fox, but would struggle with the Bee or the Turtle.

Having the powers draw off of being able to synchronize with that power/ability due to personality makes sense, and is more true to the concepts that Miraculous Ladybug is trying to present than claiming that it’s because of age. And the beauty of this is that people can grow and change at any point in their life, which means that they can learn and change and miraculouses that they once struggled with can become easier for them to use while ones they once used easily can slip from their grasp if they begin to neglect that aspect of themselves.

More Clear and Understandable Power Pyramid

This is one of the things that bothers me MOST about how they’ve been handling the powers. We’re supposed to see Ladybug and Chat Noir’s miraculouses as the be all/end all, but many of the zodiac miraculouses seem much more powerful than them, and even the Peacock and Butterfly can create opponents that are more than a match for the Lucky Duo. Not to mention the fact that, as I said before, the Lucky Duo itself is imbalanced due to Ladybug getting all the power in their relationship. So the best way to fix that?

Power Pyramid.

By this, I mean that instead of all miraculouses just getting one power and calling it a day, it makes more sense to present the powers as an almost ‘trickle’ effect. To start off, Zodiacs get defined by a single element and whichever side of Yin/Yang they fall on, and get their power based on that. For example, the Dragon. That is a Yang/Earth (Body) Personality, who uses the elements in an aggressive way. Meanwhile, Snake is a Yin/Fire (Energy), so they require someone who comes across as passive, but is actually patient and knows to wait for the precise moment to strike.

Next level up from the Zodiac Miraculouses, we have the Wu Xing/Elemental Miraculouses. Rather than just one power, each Wu Xing Miraculous should get two, one based on it’s “Yin” Abilities, and one for it’s “Yang.” the way I broke it down when I was working this out for examples went like so;

Trixx

Fox Powers/Mind

Yang- Mirage 

Creates an illusion of the user’s choosing.

Yin- Outfox

Gives the user the ability to convince the victim that anything they’re saying is true.

Pollen

Bee Powers/Energy

Yang- Nectar

Ability to heal injuries and cure illnesses (not as strong as Miraculous Cure)

Yin- Sting

Causes temporary paralysis

Wayzz

Turtle Powers/Body

Yang- Shell-ture

Creates an impenetrable shield

Yin- Withdraw

Teleportation ability that allows the user to put people and object of their desire in a pocket dimension of their own making for protection.

Duusu

Peacock Powers/Soul

Yang- Good Spirits

Creates a golem/familiar of sorts that is bonded to a certain person or object and protects them at all costs.

Yin- Soul Search

Allows the user to leave their body and enter another persons to take control of their actions and peer into their memories.

Nooroo

Butterfly Powers/Heart

Yang- Metamorphosis

Creates heroes to fight alongside the user

Yin- Butterfly Effect

Allows a brief glimpse into the future

And then after the Elements, at the top of the Pyramid we have Ladybug and Chat Noir, who get a whopping FIVE power each, but can only access those powers when they are in tune with that aspect of themselves, much like using the lesser miraculouses. For Example, Marinette’s Ladybug Can easily do the Mind, Energy, and Heart powers, but has a much, MUCH harder time with the Soul one, because she tends to read people at face value rather than trying to see beneath the surface. Adrien’s Chat Noir is excellent with the Body and Energy powers, but struggles much more with Mind (linked to one’s creativity) and Heart (Based on people’s abilities to connect with others, something Adrien struggles with after being home schooled his entire life) My idea for the Ladybug and Chat Noir powers look like this;

Ladybug Powers:

Positive Heart- (Healing) 

Miraculous Ladybug/Miraculous Cure

Heals all wounds, restores everything to its proper state

Positive Mind- (Inspiration) 

Lucky Charm

Grants Ladybug an object to help her win

Positive Energy- (Creating) 

Wish Come True

Allows Ladybug to will into existence something of her own choosing

Positive Body- (Protecting) 

Elytron

Allows Ladybug to recreate both her own suit and the suits of her allies to help them fight (space suits, ice skating form, underwater suits, ect)

Positive Soul- (Life) 

Red Thread

Ladybug has a limited ability to communicate with plants and animals, extending some of her power to them. Also works on humans, if the person trusts Ladybug enough to basically let her see into their very soul.

Chat Noir Powers:

Negative Heart- (Toxicity) 

Cat Scratch

Curses the victim with a lingering sickness that can only be healed by Ladybug.

Negative Mind- (Madness) 

Cheshire Cat

Causes temporary insanity, which varies from victim to victim.

Negative Energy- (Destruction) 

Cataclysm

Destroys anything the user touches.

Negative Body- (Weakness) 

Catatonic 

Puts the victim to sleep.

Negative Soul- (Death)

Allows the user to see, touch and summon spirits/ghosts

The interactions between Mari, Adrien and Kagami gave me LIFE! WHY CAN'T THESE THREE BE IN A RELATIONSHIP?! THEY'RE SO CUTE! THROW LUKA IN THERE FOR GOOD MEASURE AND YOU HAVE THE MOST VALID SHIP TO EVER COME OUT OF THIS SHOW!!!!

Marinette’s is a rose gold and looks more rounded than Adrien’s!!

And Adrien’s are flat silver studs while Marinettes have a black gel cover.

This is such an interesting detail that I’ve never thought would be brought to light!

So does this mean that the miraculous jewellery, while always the same type will never have the same design like the costumes? Alway a ring but never quite the same? Always a Ladybug but with personalised costumes?

It opens a lot of questions of potential, especially if this is actually intentional which I’m gonna assume it is. And also if it happens with each new holder.

Like would the future Hawkmoth miraculous look different? How so? But also how much does a holder influence the miraculous?

For instance Marinette never once has asked for a specific item when performing a lucky charm. All she wants from it is to be useful in defeating the akuma, regardless of her preference. Adrien because he is “straight forward” and “simple” just asked for a mirror which he believed to be the right item and actually got it.

I can’t help but wonder if this plays into the Peacock Miraculous as one of the reasons why it was glitching and acting spastic. It’s obvious now that a holder influences the miraculous somewhat and we have yet to see its full extent. As we have only seen two instances, potentially a third if we compare Master Fu and Nino’s miraculous. So how really far does the influence go?

-Kagami is writing down her exploits in friendship. Marinette being her first Friend and she is learning how to be a good friend.

-Kagami doing ‘Research’ on friendship. Studying books that she asked Adrien to borrow.

-Kagami making Marinette a friendship bracelet.

-Kagami inviting Marinette to a fencing event. Because she wants her friend’s support.

-Kagami offering to model some of Marinette’s designs for her.

-Kagami teaching Marinette Archery

-Kagami’s first sleepover.

-Adrien CANT believe Marinette is hawkmoth. How could someone so sweet and kind be hawkmoth. What would Ladybug say about this?

-No, he couldn’t tell Ladybug, especially when he didn’t have proof.

-Wait, Hawkmoth is in love with him. THATS IT!

-Next time an akuma attack happens, Adrien doesn’t go to transform, in fact, he goes the full risk.

-”Hawkmoth! I know who you are! I was shocked at first, especially with the lengths you went to disguise yourself. I never would have suspected it was you until I saw it with my own eyes. but I know you care about me. So if you want to keep me safe. You need to stop being a villain!”

-Ladybug listening to this, the akuma listening to this, Hawkmoth listening to this.

-Hawkmoth is HORRIFIED! How did his son figure it out! He was so careful. He would need to confront Adrien about this immediately.

-Adrien threatens to jump off a building.

-Ladybug and Hawkmoth are like “NO!”

-And by sheer and utter stupidity, Adrien makes Hawkmoth give up the akuma.

-Adrien in his room after the akuma attack. his hunch was right. He needed to talk with Marinette. Maybe he could save her from this path of evil with the power of friendship.

-As he rushed out to go do so, his father stopped him.

-”Adrien, we need to talk.”

-Adrien finds out everything, Gabriel explaining every intricate detail, the history, the backstory, everything about how he is hawkmoth.

-Adrien is just stunned.

-”So tell me son, How did you figure out I was hawkmoth.”

-Plagg is doing EVERYTHING to not lose his collective s*** and laugh.

-Adrien speaks

Adrien had never been so sure of anything in his life.

…okay, maybe that was a bit of an exaggeration. He was sure about a lot of things, like that he was Chat Noir and had a magic ring and a cat-god called a kwami named Plagg, and that he could destroy anything by saying a magic word and touching it, and that he loved Ladybug more than he could ever love anyone else.

But after his trip to the wax museum with his closest friends, he was sure of something else.

Marinette Dupain-Cheng was Hawkmoth.

There was no other explanation! She always disappeared during akuma attacks, she had a kwami, and she was definitely smart enough to be a super villain if she put her mind to it. He had to find a way to get her to stop terrorizing the city, but how? He didn’t know what the butterfly Miraculous looked like, so he couldn’t just take it from her…

“Wait, Plagg…did Marinette say she was in love with me?” Adrien asked suddenly, looking up from the homework he was pretending to be working on.

“You finally figured it out, huh? I can’t believe it took you hearing her say it out loud—”

“Great! If she’s in love with me, maybe I can appeal to her emotions and get her to stop hurting people!” Adrien interrupted.

“Wait, what?”

“It’s perfect! Surely if she loves me, she wouldn’t want to hurt me! Just like I wouldn’t want to hurt Ladybug! So maybe if I find a way to talk to her during an akuma attack when there’s a risk of me getting hurt, she’ll see reason and give up her Miraculous, and hopefully the Peacock Miraculous as well!”

“Wait, Kid, what are you talking about? Why would she give up her Miraculous?” Plagg asked cautiously. Adrien shot his kwami an incredulous look.

“I’m talking about Marinette being Hawkmoth! Plagg, didn’t you hear her talking to her kwami at the museum? She’s the only person in Paris clever enough to be a super villain, aside from my Lady who thankfully is a hero and clever enough to defeat Marinette, and Marinette is always so in tune with other people’s emotions, so she would know how to find the right people to akumatize!” Adrien exclaimed.

“Are you sure about that, kid? I mean, you’ve seen Hawkmoth, who kind of looks like a middle-aged man…”

“Marinette is a master of disguises! She pretended to be a boy to sneak into that party we threw the day Party Crasher attacked, remember? And it worked! And then once she was inside, Wayhem got akumatized, and she clearly would have known Wayhem was vulnerable if he wasn’t at the party! Marinette could definitely make herself look like anyone she wanted to in order to hide her identity!”

“Adrien, I think you might be connecting a few too many dots here…”

“No, I know I’m right! I’ll even prove it to you: at the next akuma attack, I’ll destransform and tell Hawkmoth I know who she is and say that if she cares about me as much as I think she does, she’ll stop and purify the akuma! It’s foolproof!”

Plagg gave his dense but well-meaning holder a long, hard look before deciding this wasn’t an argument worth having until Adrien tested his hypothesis for himself and was proven wrong.

“If you say so, kid.”

The next akuma attack conveniently took place at school. Adrien had been watching Marinette to see if he could find where she wore the Butterfly Miraculous and just take it without needing more proof, but she kept it well hidden. He also noticed she was powerful enough to akumatize someone without even leaving the room, so clearly she could use her powers without being transformed.

He had always theorized that Ladybug was so magical that she could purify an akuma just by grabbing it out of the sky with her bare hand, but they had never tested that theory for obvious reasons. Clearly Marinette was that magical.

The akuma had already caused a serious amount of damage by the time Adrien was able to escape his class and assess the situation. Ladybug was already fighting, which was just the distraction he needed to run up to the roof without transforming.

“Hawkmoth!” Adrien yelled, getting the akuma’s attention. A purple butterfly outline glowed around the akuma’s eyes. “I know who you are! I must admit, I was shocked at first! I never would have suspected you, and you went to such great lengths to disguise your identity, but I see you now, and I understand! But I also know you care about me! And if you really cared, you would want to keep me safe! So I’m asking you to please stop this! Stop being Hawkmoth!”

There was a tense silence. Ladybug was itching to grab him and drag him out of danger, but the akuma was between them and she didn’t know if she’d get there quickly enough. Her eyes scanned the rooftops, praying Chat Noir would show up before Adrien got hurt.

The akuma was silent, and the entire school watched to see how Hawkmoth would react with baited breath.

Back in his lair, Hawkmoth was internally screaming. He had been so careful to ensure that his son wouldn’t find out his identity until after he brought Emilie back, but clearly he hadn’t been careful enough. Was he too absent as a father and that absense made Adrien suspicious? Had Adrien seen him go into his lair and followed him? Had he monologued too loudly while Adrien was home one day? What had he done to expose his identity?

Adrien was the one to finally break the silence.

“Purify the akuma, or I’ll jump off this roof!”

Hawkmoth had no choice. To keep his son safe from harm, he recalled his akuma and began making plans for how to discuss this with Adrien when he got home from school.

“Plagg, I was right! I told you Marinette was Hawkmoth! Now I just need to talk to her…maybe I can convince her to not be evil by being a better friend! It always works in anime—” A knock at his bedroom door interrupted his train of thought. “Come in!”

“Adrien, we need to talk,” Gabriel said, stepping into the room. “It’s about your actions during the akuma attack on your school today. Please, sit.”

Adrien frowned but sat on the couch. Was his father angry with him for speaking to Hawkmoth like that? But his father didn’t know what he knew! His father didn’t know that his good friend Marinette was Hawkmoth, and that she could be reasoned with! Sure it had been a risk but on the slim chance that he had been wrong, Ladybug was there and could save him! He opened his mouth to explain himself, but his father held up one hand to silence him.

“I would appreciate it if you would let me speak first, and then ask your questions after I’ve explained everything,” Gabriel said. He sat down next to his son and told him everything. About his mother’s illness and the Miraculous and being Hawkmoth and how he just wanted to bring Emilie back to them. How he hadn’t expected Ladybug and Chat Noir to put up this much of a fight. How he had been careful to distance himself so Adrien wouldn’t suspect him… “Which brings me to my only question for you, Adrien. How did you discover my identity?”

Adrien was quiet for several moments, processing all of the information his father had just told him. When he finally spoke, both men realized they had made a very, very serious mistake.

Tikki: *gives Marinette a pillow as lucky charm*

Tikki: MURDER

Marinette: *rips it off and uses the feathers instead*

Lucky Charm: Rope!

Tikki: Time to choke a bitch!

Ladybug: Of course! (Uses rope to make a trap)

Tikki: Sigh.

Lucky Charm: Knife!

Tikki: YES!

Ladybug: Of course! (Stabs knife into the ground to prevent something from moving or uses it to cut something else to use against the akuma)

Tikki: NO!

Lucky Charm: Sword!

Tikki: Stab her stab her stab her

Ladybug: Of course! (Takes the handle off the sword and uses THAT to somehow stop the akuma)

Tikki: Oh come on!

Despite this, youkwai’s all aim to be little shoulder devils to the humans they’re given to, so its a must to be given to someone of pure heart that won’t be so easily influenced. 

So, Nooroo is having the time of his life helping Gabriel, causing chaos, and is actually manipulating Gabriel, letting the man think that he’s agreeable and submissive, but in truth, he’s pulling a few strings, pushing Gabriel farther down this path. He may even try and tempt Nathalie too…  

Wayzz has long since given up trying to sway Fu, now he just grumbles and drinks his tea. He’s also forbidden from ever talking to Marinette, Fu doesn’t her dealing with two youkwai trying to manipulate her. 

Tikki is torn between be aggravated and impressed with Marinette, the most purest of heart she’s seen in a long time, and is clever enough to take anything lethal Tikki gives her and use it peacefully. This is why she stress eats cookies all the time.

“City of Love? Ha! There is no love in this city!” The akuma shouted angrily at the sky.

The akuma in question seemed to be a mix of human and bird. With sharp Eagle like talons on her feet. Her Arms were replace with large hawk wings that she used to fly. Beautiful Green feathers covered her wings and body which looked like a giant bird, leaving her head and neck that looked to be the only human parts of her, having Eagle eyes and a mask reminiscent of a butterfly, with her long wavy brown hair. Around her neck was a necklace with a small golden eagle creature on it.

There were countless feathers piercing the ground all over the place. It seems the akuma was leaving quite an impression.

A cat themed hero jumped onto a roof where a red clad heroine was observing.

“Afternoon Bugaboo. And what do I owe the pleasure of seeing you today.” The cat flirted.

“An akuma unfortunately.” The heroine said with her usual serious tone. Though she seemed more annoyed then usual. Not that she ever was happy to fight an akuma but she was not really in the mood for an akuma attack.

“So what’s this one’s deal?”

Ladybug simply pointed to the akuma with little enthusiasm as if on cue the akuma answered the cats question.

“How can this be a city of love when there are callous men who will abandon you without notice! One minute they are messaging you how excited they are to see you and then next they don’t bother to show up and ignore your calls! So long as I, The Harpy am here, no woman will ever be hurt by a man again!” The akuma exclaimed.

“She has been saying that for 20 minutes.” Ladybug stated clearly irritated.

“So you’re saying she has been Parroting her point?” Chat noir Inquired with a smirk.

Ladybug rolled her eyes but with a smile on her face.

“Just see if you can beak her interest for a bit and Ill try and get the jump on her.” Ladybug insisted, now in a slightly better mood.

Chat noir smiled at her pun. I wonder if Marinette will share my fondness of puns. If he remembered right her dad loved puns. So she should be use to hearing them. I bet she has a few good ones. He quickly pushed those thoughts out of his head. Akuma now, daydreams later.

“Ill be sure to make sure to ruffle her feathers.” He punned one last time with a wink before heading off. 

The harpy was looking around, it seemed that most of the people were taking cover.

“You know I agree, men can be jerks. Thats why I prefer women.” the black clad hero commented, causing the akuma to turn around.

“Chat noir! The horrible half of the miraculous duo!” The Harpy hissed.

“Its actually adorable. Thats okay, most of the akuma keep getting that one confused. its a common…” Chat noir bantered only to be interrupted by an incoming barrage of feathers coming at him.

Using his cat like reflexes, the blond managed to dodge the sharp feather.

“Yikes! You can poke an eye out with those.”

Chat noir decided to jump down to avoid more feathers.

“Hold still you mangy Alley cat! You men are all the same, leaving at the first opportunity! Just like Curtis! ”

Chat noir couldn’t help but wonder what this Curtis guy did to make this akuma so mad, and if he should feel worse for Curtis or for her.

Ladybug swung her yo-yo around the akuma’s wing. The akuma turned to see Ladybug and looked betrayed.

“You are actually helping him? He is just a nasty male. He will break your heart.”

Ladybug felt a pang of guilt as she heard the akuma say that, if things go how Marinette wants, she might be the one who unfortunately breaks hearts. 

“I wouldn’t worry about Chat noir, I have an itching feeling that you should worry about  your wing.” Ladybug answered with a smirk.

“My wing? Why would I worry about my… why is it so itchy?” The akuma exclaimed in surprise.”

She looked at the yo-yo and noticed that the string and the yo-yo itself were covered in a mysterious powder.

Ladybug reveals a small ladybug print canister. The akuma realized it was Itching powder.

The Akuma tried to scratch her wing but if she tried to with her other wing, she would fall.

The Harpy shrieked and tried to get away.

“Chat noir!” Ladybug called out as the akuma was flying away and taking Ladybug for a ride.

“I am on it.”

Chat noir gave chase to the bird akuma who flew around in circles trying to get ladybug off.

But while distracted she didn’t see the cat jump from the roof she was flying a bit too close to and he snagged her necklace.

“NO!” The Harpy cried out in horror. Ladybug used that as her signal to let go.

Chat noir activated his power to break the necklace which released the Akuma.

Ladybug quickly captured and purified the black butterfly.

“Bye bye little butterfly.”

Ladybug tosses the canister into the air and all the damage from the fight was fixed.

 The Harpy turned back into her normal form. Now no longer covered in green feathers she was wearing a simple yet fashionable summer dress and her eagle eyes were replaced with lovely green eyes. Looking like a woman in her late twenties.

After their congratulations, the two approach the woman to check on her.

“Are you okay? You seemed really upset when you were an akuma?” Ladybug inquired.

The woman spoke with a saddened tone.

“I am sorry for all the trouble I have caused. I was just upset with Curtis standing me up. We had met through this matchmaker app, that one that shows your compatibility. We really hit it off after he messaged me and we seemed to have a lot in common. He acted so sweet and thoughtful, we were planning to meet up for the first time today but.. but he stood me up on the date…” The woman started tearing up. “I thought he was going to be different!”

Ladybug and chat noir felt her words strike a cord. It sounded a lot like the app that they were familiar with. Was it not as accurate as they were lead to believe?

“Well, I guess putting your faith in an app could be…” Ladybug began to say before getting interrupted.

“Angela!” A voice called out.

The three looked to see a man with short honey blond hair and brown eyes, holding a bouquet of flowers, clearly exhausted.

“Thank goodness you are okay. I am so sorry for being late. The subway broke down and I had no signal to call you. I messaged you as soon as I was out explaining everything. Then when I saw that Bird akuma attacking I couldn’t help but worry so I went looking for you.”

The brunette pulled out her phone reveal she had 10 texts and two missed calls.

“Oh. Oh my I am embarrassed. I am sorry for assuming the worst, Curtis. I thought you had stood me up and…”

“Stand up a spectacular women like you? Assume I am dead first.” Curtis said with a soft smile.

The two laughed at the comment, showing that there was something between them.

Ladybug and Chat noir could tell the couple were having a moment and decide to let them be.

The two make their way to a rooftop as they let the two lovebirds talk.

“Seems like things worked out for her.” Chat noir spoke, he was far more relieved.

“Yea, I am glad the guy didn’t actually stand her up. Sounds like that app she used didn’t steer her wrong.” Ladybug agreed, also feeling relief about the revelation.

“It sounds like there might be something to it.” Chat noir commented. “Purrhaps we should test our own compatibility Ladybug. Have you considered making an account?”

“Who says I do or don’t already have one?” Ladybug teased.

“Oh? So my lady is searching for her soulmate? How strange, I have been right here the whole time.” Chat noir joked.

Ladybug laughed.

“I assume you don’t, since you have ‘your soulmate’ so close.” Ladybug teased.

“Purrhaps or Purrhaps I do have one.” Chat noir purred.

“You already used that pun earlier kitty.”

“Fur real? I guess I am not on my game today.” Chat noir admitted.

“Its fine, don’t force the puns on my account.” Ladybug assured.

Chat noir smile shifted from his usually cocky smirk to a softer smile.

“Hey Bugaboo, could we go on patrol sometime in the future, maybe in like in a week or two? Maybe see if Andre’s stand needs protecting from akuma?” 

Ladybug’s expression softened. Chat noir was setting her up with the opportunity to address something that may become relevant. If it does, then she will need to tell chat noir the truth, that she is gonna have to give him a solid no, but if not, then she has the perfect person to cheer her up.

“I would like that. How about two weeks from now. I will be free then.” Ladybug answered just before her earrings beeped.

“Sounds good, we can go over details later, unless you have decided today was the best time to reveal ourselves.”

“Keep dreaming.” She playfully flicked his bell. “Later kitty.”

Ladybug took off from the rooftop, leaving the cat smiling with a feeling of melancholy.

“Well now its time to wait and see.”

Chat noir heard his ring beep and headed off back home, thinking about how to go about the promised meet up depending on how things go.

“What do you mean you can’t delete my account!” An angry brunette shouted over the phone. She was doing her best not to pull out her hair in frustration.

“I am sorry Ms. Dupain-cheng. But as I have stated before you do not have your password and you did not use the pin we provided to your email to reset your password. Until you utilize that code to reset your password and create a new password so you can get into your account. You can not delete the account through any other method.” The tech support representative answered.

“Why can’t you send the code to my new email that I provided?” Lila asked, her agitation clearly showing.

“As I have said before, it breaches are security guidelines. Is there any reason why you wish to delete your account?”

“Its because there is a clearly something wrong with my list.” She insisted with clear frustration.

“I will scan your account for any anomalies, one moment.”

Lila stood by the phone waiting.

“We have looked over your account, there are no glitches or errors. Also, may I be the first to congratulate you on being the first to receive 100% compa…..”

Lila hung up and she grabbed a pillow to scream into.

This had to be some sort of nightmare. How could there be no way of dealing with this!”

Chris was in his room sleeping. She was relieved that Chris was a heavy sleeper. Considering Nino’s hobby, being able to sleep through loud noise was a must in this family. Though this was the only remote solace she got out of this hellish scenario.

Not only did Marinette top the list of compatible matches for Adrien, she was a 100% match with him and it was completely legitimate. It was like getting hit in the face with a metal bat.

Lila was racking her brain. There must be some way to stop this nightmare.

She tried to get Marinette’s account deleted but that wouldn’t work without having access to her email. Marinette was not going to willingly give out her password to her of all people. Marinette was one of the few people that didn’t trust her and if she tried anything, Marinette would find out.

She needed to think, she would find a way to beat that pigtailed brat. There was no way she was letting Marinette get Adrien. Not while she could help it.

Hawkmoth looked through the window. He was still sour from his recent defeat, however he did notice something to brighten his mood. There was so much potential negative emotions loaming over Paris. The possibility of break ups, jealousy, and loneliness. All coming from one singular reasoning, it was an all you could eat buffet for his akuma, but not one of them was strong enough to warrant sending out another akuma yet. He would wait, there would be another strong negative emotion source sooner or later.

“It seems there is a negative to something that lets you find your soulmate. I fortunately already found mine, I just need to get her back.” Hawkmoth spoke aloud.

He was going to wait, he knew he could let the emotions fester into something far stronger, something that Ladybug and Chat noir couldn’t handle.  Perhaps he might stir the pot to make things go faster. He would need to make a plan, but for now he had other matters to attend to. He had to attend to ‘Civillain matters’.

“An interview?” Adrien responded in surprise.

“Yes, your father has scheduled an interview for you this Friday. The network has been wanting to do an interview with you for some time and your father believes it would be a good time to do so to promote the newest fragrance.” Nathalie explained. “As always, keep yourself composed and don’t let out too much information. Avoid any rumors they might be mentioning.”

“Okay. Would it be alright if I took my friends with me?” Adrien suggested, hoping Nathalie would be willing to let him take someone.

Nathalie looked at the blond and considered the proposal. As long as Gabriel is informed and the guest doesn’t cause trouble, one may not be an issue.

“You may bring one person. I don’t think your father would approve of more then that. Just be sure they are well behaved.” Nathalie answered before leaving Adrien to his own devices.

Plagg popped out of the teen’s shirt.

“Oh an interview. Do you think you can request the green room to be stocked with Camembert?” The cat Kwami asked as he floated beside him.

“I will ask for some, but I need to decide who I am gonna take with me. I am surprised I am even allowed to take someone.”

“So you are gonna take the baker girl right?” 

Adrien felt a faint blush appear on his face.

“W-why would you think that? I could invite Nino or …”

“Adrien, don’t try to bullshit me. You suck at lying.” Plagg commented.

Adrien sighed.

“Am I really that obvious?”

“Yes.”

Adrien knew he wanted to bring Marinette. Sure bringing Nino would be a blast, but this would be a good way to see how Marinette would react to being apart of some of the things he does. Plus even if the compatibility test doesn’t work out, he would still like to get closer with Marinette. She was a wonderful person, and she deserved to get to see what it was like when she makes it as a designer, answering questions about her latest fashion line and what not. 

“I will give her a call to see if she isn’t busy.”

“Good luck Casanova.” Plagg chuckled as he reclined in the air.

Adrien felt his pulse quicken as he looked for Marinette’s contact information.

Damn did i forget any of her notable accomplishments because these are all news worthy, like they were actually the news. I’d that she babysits for Nadja but i dont think that’s common knowledge. And also she was everywhere on the news as Adrien’s girlfriend. Like how could anyone look at this girl and think she was jealous. And also how is nshe ot being mobbed at school like Adrien was at first. How could Lila not know about this (oh yeah because she aint clever and only cares about her own news)
