Throwback to hurricane María where peeps prioritized buying soda so much that the supermarket had to enforce rationing them

Won't post the picture bc it contains ppl's personal information but the area near the front of the grocery store turned into a notice board where people would leave letters and notes assuring their loved ones (or bosses in some cases) that they were fine cuz comms were down and they had no other form of contact

I remember on the first day sitting in the car with my fam and listening to the radio where people were walking through flooded streets to the station to personally ask the hosts to update their family and friends on their status

Kind of a nutty and weirdly nostalgic time to think back on

Anyway shoutout to that one neighbor who had Claro (the only company that still had phone and internet service) wifi and brought their router down to the building lobby so everyone could use it during the following couple of weeks

Also to the peeps that fired up the party area kitchenette to turn into a communal kitchen so everyone could cook stuff before it spoiled and share it w the rest of the neighbors

My cousin and co who grabbed machetes and started clearing out escombros 🏅

Special mention for whoever started leaving out bowls of sugar water for the bees

#my fam mostly contributed board games to keep peeps and kiddos entertained in the lobby

Idk what the fuck happened to the iphone camera settings after update 26 that its is unusable 60% of the time and no amount of playing with the settings has fixed it but I got jumpscared by ML stickers on a car as I was just thinking about what a commercial success it has been so I took a very unfocused picture bc it refuses to focus no matter what, holding my phone in place for a bit cuz there's always a delay after the update for some reason, and was about to post about just now just to find this instead

oh hi wait i didnt see you answered my last ask. yeah my jobs going better :) had a lot of health stuff in the spring (ended up losing 15 pounds in a month but im ok now!!) and i got a new boss who is really awesome. its still a lot of work and pretty stressful at times but it helps to have someone who gets it now instead of just being on my own mostly

The certification exam company is being a pain in the ass about ADA accommodations in a very illegal way so its setting my plans back quite a bit but I persist for the time being. Planning on changing jobs as soon as I get that sorted out tho ✌️ Better days are coming or so help me.

Every time peeps throw a fit about anyone pointing out things that relate to real world social issues in media it's like. Alright.
